Yes Pakhiwas chuggian walay, we used to call them changar also as dead buffalos, horses and donkey were given to them and I think they used to make use of their leather and probably meat too.

I trust only my direct ancestors when it comes to halal and haram food, I don't give a damn about others definition of halal and haram food. That is one area of my life where ancestral food choices take precedence over anything else.

I mean no disrespect when I say this, but unless your ancestors were alim of deen and where real scholars, this is not a good position to take. Halal and haram categorisation is a serious matter in the deen.

I am muslim because of my ancestors (parents, grand parents, great grand parents and so on.....) not because of any kind of molvi, so my islam is what my ancestors' islam was. That is why I cannot be fooled by any molvi in my life.

Now I understand why these guys who are born and grown up in UK or other foreign countries become "radical" because instead of giving precedence to their ancestral religious practices they start giving importance to "molvis" as the main source of their religion. But in Pakistan we DON'T do this, molvi is just an outsider, the precedence is always one's own family and ancestral practices.
