They don't fool Iranian ... They just make too many enemies and they just decide to let our nuclear weapon program to go to force us to not say anything because there are several external threats we can't really do much or we lose more things ....
( of curse with nuclear weapons most our external threat - direct and total invasion to our country would become highly unlikely )
most of my countrymen can't understand my reasoning about having nukes ... with nukes we could reduce our external threats ( at least in term of total invasion ) and then just leave our Arabs neighbors - which they don't like us as much as we don't like them - alone and construct our country ....

Your logic is astute even though I personally abhor nuclear weapons in their entirety. But I agree, it's not an option to pass over unilaterally if all your enemies have them.

Also, there is no way the Iranian government is able to invest in foreign entities without the backing of a substantial percentage of population agreeing with their actions. I've come across some on this forum too who are eager to defend these said actions.
