very simple , they are a cult , they are combination of Islamist ideology and Communism and somehow Fascism , they took something from every group and combined them together and made an ideology that allow the leadership to control every single aspect of the life of their members

Actually, both era of before of 1979 and after 1979 for Iran are equally bad.

Shah times was opened society but Shah is too corrupted and had little care of ordinary Iranian. Most Iranian were poor and wealth was concentrated in just a small group of elite.

After 1979, new Iranian government try to address this issue but by bringing in religion and Islamic state which ruins all the rational decision and policy making of running a proper country. This result making decision favour only certain element of religion factor and ruin making decision that will steer country into proper direction of development.

Turkey is a great example of exempting itself from becoming Islamic state and developed properly until the early 2000s. Now currently Turkish are trying to turn themselves nationalist and islamic. Everything is going downhill and Turkey are turning back the clock.

When Khomeini's gang took over the Shah's much-criticized secret police Savak changed its name and went to work for the mullahs without batting an eyelid, pretending all the old personnel had departed.

Then the Savak defines the term Realpolitik in the true sense.

Which and why? Personally, I like Iran now because Iran is self sufficient and make world class military hardware.

Pakistan had very close friend called Iran before 1979 and that disappear after that time.

He hates USA and he wont get enough support from locals

I've heard the same on the second part.

The positive is that he's his grandfather more than his father.

There seems to be some steel in him for the nationalists to rally around the flag so to speak ... when the time is right.

Ushta te.

Cheers, Doc

Or Nader shah afshar

Nothing post Islam comes close bro.

I know it's difficult for you guys to admit it.

But it's not even a debate to be frank.

Cheers, Doc

It's more important what Iranians like. I'd say 80% want the days of pre-1979 before the fascists stole the country and then declared war on Israel and America sending Iran into a 40 year stagnation period. You could argue they've actually gone backwards.

We couldn’t make barbed wire in shah era but now we can make missiles which can reach usa. We produce 97% of our drugs locally while in shah era we produced less than 10%. In shah era our PPP was world’s 26th and in year 2011 our PPP was 17th. We make space lauchers while in shah era we even imported bullets.

We indirectly rule Middle East (our
ancient empire territory) while we had no influence in shah era.

We have influence all over MENA while in shah era we had no influence other than Oman.

Personally I think regardless of the Shah or the Mullas or some third force, Iran is reaching tipping point.

The internet and social.media is just the trigger.

We are looking at a epochal change within our lifetime.
