Police targeted using IED Bomb in Karachi

Sad...I'll note this down in my notebook of '101 things wrong with our governance systems'.

It truly is a sorry state of affairs.
Sir let me tell you a story from this old goat - in 2006 we did a risk assessment for a sensitive department building after a fire in their complex destroyed a records room and determined that they had fire extinguishers which we left in a pile in the seat of the fire unused- upon enquiry - we asked why weren’t they used - the answer we got was we just threw them in the fire and expected them to explode and put the fire out.

What Pakistan needs is a cultural change! There is no accountability and everyone thinks they are a tees maar khan.

In 2008 we did a scenario for female suicide bombers using burkahs and were laughed out of the room by an IG who will remain unnamed.

Theses are the incompetent swines at the top of the tree… I lament and laugh at the same time.

My appology . You are right.
It’s okay brother.

Why these terror attacks never target corrupt politicians?

May Allah give patience to the families of injured and martyred. ameen.
Because criminality, corruption and terrorism all converge at the same apex. Ap samaj gayen ho gey!

Sir, I am still hopeful. We will overcome all this and emerge as one of the powerful nations. in sha Allah.

InshaAllah - the biggest mistake was not giving Gen Rajeev Sharif an extension - continuity of operations is so important - I hold that man in very high regard as a COAS.

A real soldiers soldier and he understood the task at hand.

Also to all members - there is a very disturbing video being shared of the female fatality of this tragic incident. Please don’t post it here and if you are on social media and see it circulated- report the post please!

Thank you.

Filthy scums and sell outs.
Believe me this entire topi drama can be wrapped up in a week if the people at the top have the combined will.

They talk about “iron Hands” but their hands are soft and flabby from eating nihari- handling lifafas and living in air conditioned rooms.

Operations are still ongoing though, what has changed in my opinion is the situation in Afghanistan which has precipitated a widespread capability increase of militant elements, there is a very striking correlation between post takeover of Afghanistan and militancy in Pakistan. I'll be writing down a bit more of my observations in a bit however, it's honestly quite shocking to see how it isn't limited to TTP but almost EVERY militant group carrying out operations in Pakistan.

Because the “flood gates” have been opened - do you not observe a pattern emerging here?

No one can fight the state and its will if its pure and strong, unfortunately our state and people hold soft corners for these barbaric scums and provide them with all sorts of supports, sometimes in the name of Islam, Race or Ethnicity.

Indeed, this is just a theory of mine but i think Pakistan really was not prepared for the events that were happening/about to happen in Afghanistan at that time, contrary to popular belief. A lot of actions seemed quite reactive and makeshift in nature, the expansion of militancy even seems to lay some credence to this. DG Faiz's visit to Kabul now seems to me more and more like a trip to try and salvage the situation to a certain extent. There was also the hurried buying of as many Afghan Arms to prevent a mass proliferation by the government, however it seems quite likely to have failed, though how much it curbed is up to debate.

How can we expect LEA to stop these attacks, when the entire intelligence setup is busy in political engineering?

Political pressure from Nani NATO and Uncle Samiullah kind of blunted our intervention in Afghanistan. Also the fact that PIA whilst instrumental in setting up the humanitarian air bridge for the WFP was sidelined for the upgrading and re-opening of Kabul Airport was a bloody nose.

Serves the taliban right too - now neither the Turkish, Qataris, Bahrain’s or Chinese want anything to do with Kabul Airport.

They still don’t have ATIS - it’s managed out of Doha. What a bloody joke!

Acha the timing is interesting - just be mindful that Faiz Hameed is presently in Kabul to “negotiate” with the TTP.

the thing afghanis don't understand is that they are landlocked there is not much they can do in this regard. They will always be our backyard , its good for them to maintain good relations with us, they have no choice!

Afghanistan is a lost cause, and Pakistan needs to get rid of its obsession with helping Afghanistan - Afghans have shown nothing but hostility towards Pak for the last 100 years. Afghans have been unable to develop their country, and the only thing they know is war.

The Afghan border should be quarantined completely. Only women and children should be allowed to enter as refugees, and that too at a controlled rate so intel agencies can track them and make sure they don't start blowing themselves up.

Look at the Indians, willing to bomb a nuclear armed state in response to alleged support for terror attacks. Afghanistan is, no offense, a shithole, and its support for terrorism is well documented. Why is Pakistan so afraid to act? Hell, even in 1971 battle plans were for an Israeli style lightning offensive into India.

Of course, these suggestions are pointless because no one in charge cares enough to make any change unless their source of income or ticket out is threatened. In fact, they have probably already been suggested, ignored, and thrown out.
