Unlike modi, the churches accept their mistakes and apologize for it on almost every tract they issue. There is a huge difference. You cannot erase the past, what you can do, is to make amends which is exactly what's happening.

I think in 30-40 years Modi will apologize too. I hope you give him the same laxity you give the church. Then again .... you must have forgiven him. (..you know central to the faith and all that)

...They cannot support violence because its explicitly condemned in the scriptures. If they do, there are not even any off verses to legitimize their actions and must be treated as something independent from Christianity......as is usually the case.

Irrelevant ...it does not matter to Hindus whether you 'scriptures' give you 'licence to kill' or not ...what matters is reality on the ground. What you treat as 'independent of christianity' form the 'bulk of christianity' for the rest of us who live in the real world. And action is taken on those reality.

Im not preaching at all. All im doing here is presenting my side of the issue.

There really is no need to publish "off" comments when you lose your grip on the plot. Its quite fine and understandable to collect your thoughts and confront me later as you please.

And just so its out there, it is "peace". As for your assertions on my experience with Hinduism, i grew up reading exclusively Hindu material for entertaining stories and epics.

From Ramayana to mahabharat...all the way over to the entire bhagavad gita (all translations ofcourse).

I can even quote from certain vedas like the adharva Veda.

..and you are welcome to present your side of the story ....just don't be intolerant when it is challenged and start blaming people for 'loosing grip on the plot'.

ARR converted to Islam, even before his first film. And it was after 15 years in Film industry, he got an Oscar.
And everybody loves him. Just cos he have converted to Islam, I have never seen him, brainwash people to convert to people. Nor claim his religion is great or something.

Strange ...I know of a similar incident ...12 years back in Gujarat A Nun was called out of a Bus and Raped. She later married the guy who raped her, become a Hindu by renounced christianity. Her family initially rejected her ...but eventually they have started appreciating Hinduism.

But Indians are accepting Christianity with their own fee will. Lack of food, opportunity, caste harassment all might be true but Christians are not ruling India, Hindus are and the blame is on government policies and society which lets such a phenomenon exist in the first place.

If Indians are of the opinion that there should be no conversion then be forward about it.

I ll tell you what ll happen not only to India but to everyone,

Christianity & Islam ll be the last surviving religions in this world and Jews & Hindus ll have to convert or die,and then they ll go to war,whatever we r doing is just delaying things.
