Apparently, the war in Ukraine is good for defence industries.

On top of the F-35 order, now Poland wants 48 FA-50 light fighters from South Korea.

And apart from the Abrams order, they now want 180 K2 tanks to add to their Winged Hussars. And they already have a good number of Leopard 2A4 and Leopard 2A5 and PT-91 Twardy tanks.

The rumor is that they also ordered howitzers from South Korea.

We're talking about some crazy expansion to the Polish Army here.

Poland plans on phasing out all of their twardy tanks to hand them over to the Ukrainians. The sep v3 abrams is good on paper but has too many gadgets hanging off of it on the top of the turret. K2s are good for what they are, especially upgraded. I think the reason for this is because of all similar components and spare parts that can be utilized for one another. K2 has some parts thats based off of leopard 2, and US, Germany were in a joint tank project together in the 80s, both abrams and leopards support nato logistics, since k2 is based of the similar models, it would make swnce for the poles to go that way

War in Ukraine is a massive boondoggle for former Warsaw pact members now part of NATO. This allows them to phase out their soviet era weaponry at inflated prices with the bill being footed by US taxpayers and the likes of Germany.
They will quietly transfer their T-72, Mi24, SU25, Mig29s to Ukraine replaced by F-16s, Blackhawks and Abrams on a 1:1 basis. This allows Poland to use its own money on augmenting its defense forces. Win win for all except people of Ukraine.
Now suddenly the likes of Germany is falling in line and hurriedly ordering F35s as well.

Should have bought some Boeing, LM stock.
