the event have unfoiled and the situation is now clear. the PNS Babur was never attacked by the pirates rather it was the freed MV Suez that again came under an attack that was not a suces as PNS Babur approaches to escort the vessel.

lol you are mixing up two totally different facts!
suez was indeed attacked by pirates for the second before pns babur could reach there, the crew members scared the pirates away.
babur came along couple of hours later and then LATER another attacked took place. this time it was on pns babur as pirates opened small fire at the ship, in retaliation, warning shots were fired from the ship and that scared the pirates away!

KARACHI: The return journey of the freed crew of MV Suez has hit snags as the vessel has run out of fuel and become a dead weight in rough seas south of Oman’s Salalah port.

According to sources, the PNS Babur is escorting it to safety and providing it protection from pirates. The source said here on Saturday that some other technical problems had also cropped up in MV Suez.

PNS Babur offered the crew to come onboard the ship so that they can be transferred to Salalah, but they declined the offer for unknown reasons.

The owner of the Panama-registered vessel has reportedly sent a tug from Salalah to tow the stranded vessel which is expected to reach there by Sunday morning. Since the speed of the tug, Hasik, is said to be six knots, it will take it till Monday evening to drag the MV Suez to its destination.

Why our forces even bothered to rescue their pathetic lives is mind-boggling as their predicament should have been dealt by the Indian govt and certainly not by our commandos! Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Babur will guard the merchant vessel MV Suez, carrying Pakistani mariners, till it safely docks at Oman Port of Salalah.

Informed sources in Pakistan Navy told The News on Saturday that MV Suez had become stationary some 90 nautical miles off the Port of Salalah sometime around mid-day Saturday due to machinery defect and merchant vessel running out of fuel. The naval sources said that a tug boat had been dispatched from Port of Salalah to rescue the stranded ship and the tug boat had been moving at a speed of six nautical miles per hour and it is expected to reach the ship by Saturday midnight. The major problem is the standard ship drifting in the Southerly direction, away from the port.

The MV Suez is expected to reach the Port of Salalah with help of tug by Monday. In the meantime, PNS Babur extends all possible medical aid and food provision to mariners onboard the MV Suez.
