PN to acquire twin engine jet aircraft - Tender

IMHO ... the PN will likely end-up using the Global 6000, and in turn, design a LRMPA similar to the Saab Swordfish. Basically, limited mods to the airframe, likely external hardpoints for anti-ship missiles and lightweight torpedoes. I doubt they'll go as deep as Airbus' A320neo concept (like creating an internal bay, etc), not alone anyways.

what if they could acquire the air frame for a similar price as a Global 6000? Considering the size difference and the A-320Neo could also operate as a Sigint aircraft if the required antenna could be found to fit on the air frame and operator stations programmed to do both ASW and SIGINT. But I agree with your point, the Global 6000 is the right minimum size class to function as a LRMPA to cover our entire EEZ. Perhaps with the lack of a bay, it will leave room for a SIGINT suite just aft of the wings and wheel wells, it the outer wing pylons could house SIGINT pods.

If PAF, PA and PN can all agree on a common platform of the Global 6000 for their needs then it would make alot of sense economically and for long term support of the platform. Homegrown AEW&C, HAVSOJ, and this LRMP on Global 6000... makes sense ...

This is a narrow MTOW range. I can only find the Embraer E-190E2 (124,000 lb) and E-195E2 (135,000 lb).

...and because I want this thread to spiral into 427 pages of hopes, wishes and frustration, I'll share this:

Embraer Defense & Security's commercial senior vice president, Fernando Ribeiro de Queiroz, said the company will develop a maritime patrol version of the 190-E2, the latest version of its successful commercial "E" jet family, if required by the customer...

I am talking about P-3C is to be replace by P-8 its old news and everyone here on PDF knows its dude
Was there a recent poll conducted on PDF that shows that every one is knowledgeable of this development? I guess at least I missed the classroom as I wasn't aware of this development.

@PAR 5
Could these retired frames be available for PN via EDA?

No. PN wants to move away from the P3C's in the long run as well

Pak decision makers should not blindly follow the Americans. US ASW is classified. They have an underwater system of detection - an updated SOSUS that allows them to detect a lot of things without ASW ships and aircraft.

They also have a classified satellite network that can do the same. I once chanced upon one of the architects of this system in the US, we ended up having a long chat at a coffee shop. He was disgruntled by how he seemed to have gotten the short end of the stick.

He didn't realize who I was so ended up giving me more information than he should have - he thought he was having coffee with someone who wouldn't understand what he was talking about.

Bottom line is - the US does not need MAD on aircraft to detect submarines. Thus you see giant MAD stings on the Chinese platforms but none on the US ones.

Now, the one dimensional Third World copy monkey will so "look, gora did this, let's do something similar" without realizing that dressing like a gora doesn't make you great. As Ibn Khaldun writes:

“...that the soul always sees perfection in the person who is superior to it and to whom it is subservient. It considers him perfect, either because it is impressed by the respect it has for him, or because it erroneously assumes that its own subservience to him is not due to the nature of defeat but to the perfection of the victor. If that erroneous assumption fixes itself in the soul, it becomes a firm belief. The soul, then, adopts all the manners of the victor and assimilates itself to him. This, then, is imitation.

“Or, the soul may possibly think that the superiority of the victor is not the result of his group feeling or great fortitude, but of his customs and manners. This also would be an erroneous concept of superiority, and (the consequences) would be the same as in the former case.

Therefore, the vanquished can always be observed to assimilate themselves to the victor in the use and style of dress, mounts, and weapons; indeed, in everything.

“In this connection, one may compare how children constantly imitate their fathers. They do that only because they see perfection in them. One may also compare how almost everywhere people are dominated (in fashion) by the dress of the militia and the government forces, because they are ruled by them.

“This goes so far that a nation dominated by another, neighboring nation will show a great deal of assimilation and imitation. At this time, this is the case in Spain. The Spaniards are found to assimilate themselves to the Galician nations in their dress, their emblems, and most of their customs and conditions. This goes so far that they even draw pictures on the walls and have them in buildings and houses. The intelligent observer will draw from this the conclusion that it is a sign of being dominated by others.”
