An election manifesto should not be taken seriously.
I am a PTI supporter, and if PTI had no policy material with reasonable detail and only an election manifesto.
I would definitely post these questions to other PTIans, I may even withdraw my support.
An election manifesto is a wish list, policies are planning and then there's acting out what you planned.
An election manifesto in most countries gives you an outline on what the govt wants to do and does not usually go into every aspect of the policy to the last detail.
NS previous manifesto talked about building highways as an example but did not do into who has got the contract and what type of tarmac they will use......but the motorway was started.
A vague aim is what it is, hardly a policy.
By anybody's book you cant get more specific then that......free primary education for all.......if thats not a policy then i dont know what is.
According to the latest DFID, UK report “The Good News from Pakistan” on education in Punjab, enrollment as of December 2012, for 5 to 9 years old (for both boys and girls in urban and rural areas) is about 95% in northern districts of Punjab, about 93% in central districts and about 80% in southern districts. This is a huge and impressive achievement.
This report, authored by Sir Michael Barber says, “As of January 2013, on a conservative estimate, there are approaching one and a half million extra children enrolled in school. In addition, student attendance daily is now over 90 per cent, 81,000 new teachers have been hired on merit and more than 35,000 more teachers are present at school every day than two years ago. Over 90 per cent of schools now have basic facilities in place as opposed to less than 70 per cent two years ago. Importantly, across all the indicators there has been a narrowing of the gender gap, although there is more to do, especially in the south of Punjab.

And I for one fail to see how it's possible if tax revenue collection programmes are absent and knowing Nawaz, the one thing he is capable is more of a free market approach, so expect tax breaks.
The manifesto says “Sales tax to be rationalized by ensuring standard rate for all items and broadening the scope of sales tax.” The manifesto clearly touches upon how it will document the economy — for instance, creating a central database/repository, transitioning towards e-Government, e-Citizen Services, etc.
The first item on the tax reform section says that PML-N plans “to tax all income and to achieve greater equity in the tax system by increasing dependence on direct taxes.”
That is my point, no-one knows the plans.

Well i think it was based on a "proven record" of moving pakistan forward and delivering on what they say.
Nothing personal against you, I don't know who you support.
But you can't back PMLN on this, such an election campaign, manifesto/policy would never hold up in an election in any sensible nation. Only in Pakistan could such a party get 120+ seats.
I supported PMLN.......i cant vote for him as i am from AJK and our election are in a couple of years time.
It seems to be that PTI supporters think the rest of pakistan is suffering from mass delusion and are a bunch of uneducated idiots,when in fact i think there more realist and are willing to give NS one more chance.
I am no hardcore supporter of PML and would change my support to PTI in the next election if NS does not deliver......i cant say the same for PTI supporters.
Funny how PTI lost and now pakistani are not sensible......i bet you think the people of KP are really sensible and intelligent once they voted in PTI.
DAAA!! I was just giving an example what Politicians says and what they do....If corruption get's control in Pakistan in our life time then do let me know, so that we can use the formula to stop it in India too...
