PML-N PPP Resign National Assembly

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have agreed to resign from the National Assembly, ARY News reported on Tuesday, citing sources.

Well-informed sources said that the development came after repeated contact between PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the PPP co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari, in which Sharif convinced Zardari to resign from the NA as part of an anti-government move.

“Both the parties have agreed to tender resignation from the NA at an ‘appropriate time’.”
Meanwhile, today’s meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) is said to be important as the PML-N has finalised its strategy against the government, sources claimed.

It was further learnt that the PML-N will suggest the PDM huddle to announce the date of the long march in the Lahore’s public rally that is scheduled on December 13.
“Deadline for PM Imran Khan’s resignation should be set in Lahore rally”, the PML-N to recommend in today’s meeting.

The heads of all constituent parties of the opposition alliance will attend the session of PDM in Islamabad today, while former president Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif will ensure their presence via the video link, sources said.
People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who had quarantined himself after diagnosed coronavirus positive, after recent negative reports of the virus, is also expected to attend the meeting, sources said.

PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz will also attend the opposition meeting that will take decisions about the PMD’s scheduled public meeting in Lahore on December 13.

blessing in disguise, let them resign. Per constitution only the president on the advise of PM can dissolve the parliament, it will be up to pm to dissolve if he wants.
there is no mention of PM needing even full numbers..

the only way to do elections will be via no confidence movement being sucessful, will that happen well, oppsotion can somehow get the numbers (very difficult but mathematically possible) so why arent they doing it?..because they dont have the numbers..

so, i doubt they will, its just a ploy to bring establishment into action, they will however, do it if the establishment gives green signal, establishment will to bring martial law and re instate central Punjab leadership..

but if bajwa is there then how will establishment say yes???..either bajwa changed his mind or you will see mutiny in army ..

why would bajwa change his mind when things are just starting to look good?

so if PPPP/PMLN do resign expect something bad happening in military
Without Punjab it is impossible to have Federal Government and in Punjab Chaudhary of Gujarat and Chaudhary of Chakri might gain the status of deciding factor b/w PPP and PTI for the next Provincial Government of Punjab but as of now it seems the most PPP can achieve in Punjab is to make a comeback in the electoral politics of Punjab.

You are right to point out Baluchistan it seems PPP at least have equal chance if not better then PTI to winning the next election and form government in Baluchistan, so it seems PPP is in strong position at least to have 2 provincial government ....

GB would not have that much impact on the formation of Federal Government in next General Election.

So as of today IF we eliminate PML-N from electoral politics then the expected outcome of the next general election is 3-2 mean formation 3 provincial governments by PTI (KPK, Punjab, GB) and 2 by PPP (Sindh and Baluchistan)

Formation of Next Federal Government would remain open for "post election manoeuvring" .....
there is no hurdle constitutionally, federal govt can simply bring governor raj in punjab
PPPP did it for OVER A MONTH

so its whether opposition can do a No confidence movement. That is what is the key

without a no confidence movement the govt will not dissolve. PERIOD

America is pretty confident that PPP and PTI can work together.

Ties in well with the option of making IK President and claiming presidential immunity which Alvi is enjoying.

PPP has their eyes set on South Punjab more than North Punjab.

this is last card they have i wish imran and gov stay tall and never blackmailed by mafia one last time .

you know why pakistan is backward and doomed ? because politicans here want power no matter what . soon after elections opposation parties start dharna rallies and all thsi BS again and again no stability no peace of mind to work for any gov . pakistan is destableized since i start growing i am watching it same . when it will be end ? when losers in elections will come on tv and accept it like brave? it seems never .
as i said constitutionally only president with PM advise can dissolve the government

so opposition would need to get the PM and CM positions first..even if they resign it will be just" BY elections" again

yes they are confident that two liberal parties of PPPP and PMLN(per khawaja asif) can work together

so did they convinced bajwa or core commanders to do mutiny

This is a good time to abolish the useless assembly and bring a better one.
Dang it - was really hoping the PPP would resign from Sindh as well.

They're not that stupid but one can hope. :D

Unless Maryam Nawaz is taken out of the picture, Pakistan's national security interests are potentially jeopardized. Musharraf knew it at the time of Benazir's return, hence had her neutralized. I hope ISI has gotten the hint, can't be more explicit than this
I'd ban you over this level of idiocy and stupidity, but someone else beat me to it.

Dang it - was really hoping the PPP would resign from Sindh as well.
kinda tells you that PPPP loses nothing by resigning at federation ..and they dont expect anything else other then "by election" by doing so (OTHERWISE THEY WOULD HAVE resigned from provincial assembly too, if govt was to be dissolved)

yes they are confident that two liberal parties of PPPP and PMLN(per khawaja asif) can work together

Both parties(PPPPTI) are in direct negotiations with IMF in government capacity.

Interesting time in politics... Still I believe PPP might get a deal from establishment and have move there cases to Karachi and then change it's view...
It's pure black mailing
The PPP is going to have a hard time explaining why the elections were rigged when it comes to the Center but not rigged when it comes to the PPP winning a clear majority in Sindh.

Same elections, right?

Same Election Commission of Pakistan?

Same Pakistan Army deployed at polling stations?
Both parties(PPPPTI) are in direct negotiations with IMF in government capacity.
I heard the Klingons are next on the list for PPPTI negotiations.

Ever give your conspiracy theories a rest, mate?

If they resign now, PPP will get wiped out in the next election along with PMLN and gang.
they arent resigning..its says in the news, PPPP will keep sindh assembly and will probably get most of it federal seats back in by election

what is really happening in establishment is real question..is a deal been made..i am sure PPPP is unaware of it..otherwise they would have resigned from sindh assembly too

funny is that they decided not to resign even from senate..this funny lol
so it measn even PMLN knows there will be by elections

and it thinks better to sit out next 3 years from national assembly where it doesnt have voice anyway

common atleast resign from center !!!(senate and assembly)

resigning from senate can create a constitutional crisis (first bring No confidence)..
