Maryam Nawaz urges party to accept by-polls defeat gracefully​

PML-N VP calls for identifying mistakes and work towards fixing them

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has urged her party to accept the by-poll results gracefully.
In a tweet on Sunday night, shortly after unofficial results began coming in, she said “We must bow down our heads in front of the public’s decision.”

The PML-N VP added that winning and losing is a part of politics. “Hearts should be made bigger.”
Maryam called for identifying all the mistakes made by the party and work towards fixing them.
The unofficial results so far have shown that PTI is comfortably leading in at least 16-17 seats.

Respect to N league for accepting the defeat and moving on. N was extremely stupid to overthrow Immi and it clearly backfired. Hope Niazi respects the IMF agreements and kudos to Miftah for doing the right thing. Clearly the next election will be in PTI favour but PTI will surely underperform or have excuses like establishment calling the shots or we didn't have 2/3 majority. Next 5 years will be interesting.

I feel sorry for you who is having hard time accepting the fact that people of Pakistan, well Majority of them prefer Ik over these Goons who came into power to get rid of corruption cases. For 3 years they shouted rigging and selected government, ran campaign like vote ko izzat do , eventually licked their own spit and accepted selection for themselves. Now you are telling us that Nani is accepting defeat "gracefully " ?? Are you for real? She had no choice but to accept it , because she had no one else to blame it on. Do you think people cannot see through these acts? This was nt just election of 20 seats. This was test of PML N who used to say Imran Khan would nt even win 1 seat without help of Umpires

PML(N) is gracious in accepting the people's mandate while if it were PTI losing they would be screaming rigging this, rigging that and maligning our Armed forces by now.

PMLN had no choice but to accept it since they are the ones in power right now and were 100% working with the ECP. PTI was rightfully claiming rigging because the EC had withheld their 5 reserved seats even after the SC verdict and only proceeded with them after the SC disqualified Hamza and ordered a re-election within 24 hours. The CECP has even been seen visiting Maryam and Hamza.

Even today there was rigging such as voters being turned away because their votes were sent to some far away area instead of their local polling stations. Manuy were stopped from even voting as can be seen from the numerous twitter videos. The massive turnout was the only reason PTI managed to win.
