GARHI KHUDA BUX: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has termed Zulfikar Ali Bhuttos death judicial murder and said that he is examining the case in which Mr Bhutto was executed and is in favour of reopening it.
Talking to journalists on Saturday in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto where he had arrived to attend 31st death anniversary of Mr Bhutto, Mr Gilani said the restoration of 1973 Constitution to its original form would satisfy the souls of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
He said the 1973 Constitution, given by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, was trust of the nation but it was distorted by various dictators.
We are proud to be going for completion of the dream and vision of Benazir Bhutto by restoring the 1973 Constitution to its original form with the full support of all the political parties of the country, the prime minister said.
He said after the passage of 18th amendment, Pakistan would emerge as a strong and stable democratic country, adding that it would strengthen sovereignty of the parliament and bolster other institutions.
Once the institutions will strengthen, it will strengthen the country, the prime minister added.
He said: I want to give a message to the nation that we have begun to complete the mission of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, who laid down their lives for a modern, social welfare and democratic state.
The prime minister said the government was striving for strengthening state institutions which would protect the Constitution as envisaged by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Our leaders laid down their lives to enable the people to have their rights but they never compromised on principles, the premier added.
He said the government believed in the rule of law and it respects judgments of the Supreme Court.
About delay in UN report on Benazir Bhuttos murder, he said she was a leader of international stature and a symbol of federation and that was why the UN was asked to probe her murder, adding that the Commission report would be released and shared with the whole world.
About invitation to PML-N to join the federal cabinet, the prime minister said he did not make such an offer and Nawaz Sharif had also clarified that he was not asked to join the government.
About power loadshedding, the prime minister said a high-level committee comprising ministers of water and power, petroleum and natural resources and adviser on finance had been constituted to examine and prepare a comprehensive report on the electricity load management within a week.
He said the government had launched a crash programme to address the energy crisis to give relief to the people.
He said that President Asif Ali Zardari would inaugurate a 51mw rental power plant in Naudero on Sunday.
He said prices of petroleum products are fixed by a regulatory authority which adjusts them keeping in view fluctuation in international market.
The prime minister said the government realised problems of the people and was preparing a strategy to give relief to the common man. APP
Our Larkana correspondent adds: Answering a question about the missing articles from the final document of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, the prime minister said that it was a typographical mistake which had not been committed intentionally. He said the final and a consensus NFC award would be implemented by adding the deleted articles in it.

Let it go. Why waste time and money on a case that happened when most Pakistanis weren't even born.
