Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Cox's Bazar tomorrow to inaugurate the Cox's Bazar Air Force Base and lay the foundation stone of a medical college.

During the daylong visit, the prime minister will also lay the foundation stone of Cox's Bazar-Dohajari rail line.

Hasina is scheduled to reach Cox's Bazar at 10:35am by air, said an official of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The foundation stone of the Cox's Bazar Medical College and the railway line will be laid at Jhilongjha, the area where the prime minister will also open the upgraded submarine cable connection of Cox's Bazar Landing Station.

The prime minister will also hold meetings with the district administration and the district's joint lawyers' coordination council.

Later, in the afternoon, she will address a public rally at Park Playground before returning to the capital.

প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা আজ রোববার বেলা সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে কক্সবাজারের বাংলাদেশ বিমানবাহিনীর একটি ঘাঁটি উদ্বোধন করেছেন।
এ সময় সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তৃতায় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বলেন, বাংলাদেশের সমুদ্রসীমা রক্ষায় সরকার বিমানবাহিনীকে আন্তর্জাতিক ও আধুনিক মানের করে তুলবে। আর এরই অংশ হিসেবে আজ বিমানবাহিনীর এই ঘাঁটির উদ্বোধন করা হচ্ছে। বিমানবাহিনীর সদস্যরা সমুদ্রসীমার পাশাপাশি আকাশসীমা রক্ষায়ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবেন বলে তিনি আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন।
এর আগে বেলা সোয়া ১১টার দিকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা হেলিকপ্টারে করে ঢাকা থেকে কক্সবাজারে পৌঁছান। এরপর বিমানবাহিনীর ঘাঁটির উদ্বোধন শেষে বাহিনীর বিমান মহড়া দেখেন।

However, we do not know of the details of the planning like how many runways will be built, what will be the defence system of the airport itself, how many planes can take shelter there etc. I only know that there is a civilian airport in Cox's bazaar. But, i do not know if BAF will built its airport at the same venue or will go inland among the small hills.
