'Population explosion has a bright side' Pervez Ashraf

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Saturday said the bright side of the population explosion was an exponential increase in human resource, so there was no need to worry about it, Geo News reported.

"We have a large number of skilled manpower including highly talented youth on top of a plentiful resources", said he addressing a function here at Sultana Foundation, a non-governmental organization.

He said the government would extend full financial cooperation in this regard.

Earlier, he laid the foundation of Justice Yusuf Saraf Centre for Research, Rehabilitation and Mainstreaming Children and appreciated the support and cooperation of philanthropists for this noble project.

He said the country is facing different challenges but all these can be sorted out by evolving national consensus.

He said, “The time has come that all the decisions should be taken through consensus as the dividends of national consensus introduced by the present government, have started paying yield.”

Raja Pervez Ashraf said time has come to take decisions with dedication, sincerity, and commitment and beyond any prejudice without wasting the time.

He said the time to confront with each other on petty issues is now over, therefore every person should join hand to work for the progress and prosperity of the country.

The Prime Minister said, “We should rise above caste, creed and sectarian differences and stand united to confront the challenges, being faced by the country and to find solution of each and every problem.”

“Every thing is possible in Pakistan but there is a need to change the attitude of the people, politicians, and every member of the society,” he added.

He said a handful of misguided elements couldn’t dictate their terms to the majority of Pakistan who are peaceful and wanted to have development and progress in the country.

He said, “Pakistan is blessed with natural resources, different types of weather, committed, hardwork and sincere work-force and by exploiting them, we can transform the country into a prosperous country.”

Paying rich tributes to the welfare services of Sultana Foundation, he said those working for the welfare of humanity are the asset of the nation.

He asked Sultana Foundation to enter into a public private partnership for operating schools in Islamabad and other far flung areas of the country.

The Prime Minister said, “Youth are asset and collective efforts will be made for their welfare, to impart best possible education and other facilities.”

The Prime Minister said efforts are being made to improve the standard of education at the Federal schools.

He announced Rs 50 million for the Foundation to complete its new project.

Please somebody tell this guy the unemployment rate, also we should ask him how many jobs have the govt created in last 4 years and also how many industries were closed due to shortage of electricity and gas.

On the flip side population implosion could mean period renaissance for Pakistan as people begin to learn the importance of using their vote wisely. It will also mean educated people will sober up and become disillusion with brotherhood and communalism.

Pakistan regardless of Shia, Sunni, Hindo, Quadani, Christian are equal in the eyes of state and the well being of Pakistanis depend on the well being of Pakistani border. Foreign ideologies do not serve a purpose here other than destruction through polarization.

Someone should smack that idiot on the head and inform him that you need to create jobs for that "exponential increase in human resources" and arrange for basic ammeneties like clean water, power, health, education, etc... otherwise that resource becomes a burden on already scares resources.

I guess we should ask this PM to feed and fulfill the basic needs of this huge population with his own pocket..No use of human resources when there are not enough opportunities

This is true, however, it requires all else growing too.

Wow can't imagine a PM of a country saying such bullsh-t. Just goes to show how screwed up this country's government has gotten.

At least he made a statement about population explosion however immature the comment may be,our great babus are seemingly unaware this problem even exists in india.Jokers.

If pakistan become 300 million it will have same density as india. which means at least 120 million muslims of india can exercise their right to go to the home of s.asian muslims.
