Sir please re-read last paragraph of the quotation. It asks for the confirmation on same day, Dec 11, so that catering company is mobilized for preparations on Dec 12. Given this catering company needed entire day for services to be available on Dec 13. Unless ministry wanted PM to starve, quotation could not have been confirmed on same day, Dec 13. Believe it or not food was all ready, PM couldn't eat because he cancelled his visit at eleventh hour.

True that, this letter doesn't confirm anything. Quotation was turned down, we don't know that either. I can give you a few reasons for a possible approval. In Baluchistan you don't have a great deal of options when it comes to catering for such VVIP gathering. Almost always Serena is tasked to provide such services, I am afraid we don't have any option except Serena.

This is actually cheaper. Normally it nets up to million dollars if we compare to International. This is not big issue if we look at the bigger picture head. The idea of the atmosphere for the world-class dining is to reassure the guests in the comfortable way since most of them are in Pakistan for investments and other important reasons. In return, Pakistan is winner if we look at the bigger picture; the billion-dollars investment.

Although this might seem immature bearing in mind that Pakistan has poverty issues, but this cost will not eradicate poverty overnight, will it?

The bigger issue is that those who opposed Khala baag dam that would have solved the major problems for Pakistan including poverty had Khala Baag dam be built. Guess who opposed Khala baag dam is now currently employed at chairman of PTI and not to mention, pro-TTP stances that cost Pakistan a lot more which will take forever to repair the damage than this dining.

What i do with my own money is not of your or anyone else's concern but PM spending 3.4 million on just 1 meal is a great concern for me just because this luxury was being funded through mine and other taxpayer's money not his own as it's clearly written on top of this letter that it's meant for Secretary Finance

This is the cost of 400 guest plus catering. So like I said it's easy to hand over this to someone say Muhib Caterer who would ask for 26-30% of the quoted amount. And just dismiss the whole guests by offering them a cup of tea. Sounds very easy.
And regarding "my money is my money" argument should I imply that only the money of exchequer be subjected to morality? In fact that's the general case. The money in coffer of the people rather goes to their own bellies than to those people whom they claim to so care for. I am not even mentioning the fact that 99.99% of people here aren't even taxpayers but claim the money as their own

This was a quotation, not a bill. No payment was made against this as no such ceremony happened there. This letter seems fake as there was no logo on the alleged Serena Letterhead.
