no choice. in say kuchh control nahi hota, saith inki baat nahi maantay. exports nahi barhti, to yeh surplus/bumper crop declare kar k pehlay agricultural produce export kar detay hain, phir usko dubara import kartay hain. Rupiyah kam exports ki wajah say devalue ho raha hai, jiski wajah say raw material (even for exports) mehenga horaha, to export bhi mehengi horahi hai, aur phir export barh nahi rahi. LNG mehengi par rhi (again due to devaluation), oil mehenga par raha hai, jis ki wajah say bijli mehengi ban rahi hai aur transportation cost barh rahi hai. yeh sab kuchh mil mila kar industrial output ko mehenga kar raha hai. imports par tax kay bawajood import say similar ya lower price par behter quality mil rahi hai, to loug local industry say nahi khareed rahay, local industry band horhi hai (high cost of production and low market demand), jis ki wajah say bayrozgaari barh rahi hai aur standard of living neechay ja rha hai, jissay tax collection main bhi kami arahi hai. investor bhi gadhay hain jo property, gold (the most un productive sectors), ata cheeni mill lagatay hain, koi IT/electronics setup ki taraf nahi ata. all in all sh*t scene hai.

ملک میں ان تین اشیا کی قیمتوں میں گذشتہ تین سال کے دوران بے پناہ اضافہ دیکھنے میں آیا ہے۔ ادارہ شماریات کے مطابق اگست 2018 میں چینی کے پچاس کلو بیگ کی قیمت 2600 روپے تھی جو اگست 2021 کے اختتام تک 5000 تک پہنچ گئی۔ چینی کی خوردہ قیمت اگست 2018 میں ساٹھ روپے تھی جو اب بڑھ کر 110 روپے ہو چکی ہے۔
اگست 2018 میں مل آٹے کے 20 کلو تھیلے کی قیمت 740 روپے تھی جو اگست 2021 کے اختتام تک 1150 روپے سے تجاوز کر گئی۔ اسی طرح گھی و خوردنی تیل کے پانچ لیٹر کی قیمت اگست 2018 میں 900 روپے تھی وہ اگست 2021 کے اختتام تک 1700 روپے سے تجاوز کر گئی۔
پاکستان کے سابق وزیر خزانہ اور معاشی ماہر ڈاکٹر حفیظ پاشا نے بی بی سی اردو سے بات کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ اگر گذشتہ تین سال میں مجموعی طور پر اشیائے خوردونوش کی قیمتوں کا جائزہ لیا جائے تو ان میں ہونے والا اضافہ اوسطاً چالیس فیصد ہے۔
انھوں نے بتایا کہ اگر صرف اٹے، گھی اور چینی کی قیمتوں میں ہونے والے اضافے کو لیا جائے تو یہ تقریباً 50 فیصد تک ہے۔

this gov increasing the price and if you can’t afford it then go to langer khana by this gov

moving more families to go hungry and in poverty

The only solution is what previous govt did...i.e print notes..why cant we print more rupee notes so everyone gets more money

We should subsidize rupee to stop rupee drop and inflation..as international inflation runs high..

Because rupee fell by 70% from 105 to 170 from 2018-2020 with double digit global inflation with covid

Now why rupee fel from 105 to 170 is due to imran khan..nawaz sharif had nothing to do with it

Where would he get the water to grow the crops on those lands?

That's why he talked about digging an alternate canal system that would divert the flood water into Balochistan and which will be used to make it arable, however all the native sons of the soil are against the idea, plus Pakistan doesn't have resources/funding to undertake such a monumental project.

From the ground underneath the land. From the rivers using tube Wells. Are you seriously arguing we don't have enough water to grow more food? My family grows 2 seasons of crops in AJK based purely on rainfall. No tube Wells, no diverting rivers.

I mean he could dot the land with massive talabs to gather rainwater and irrigate the land. Anything is possible if he like everyone else was not hostage to the land owning class.
