Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday expressed his serious concerns over a statement by Indian Defence Minister that said “India has been sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan,” while vowing to take every possible measure to counter anti-Pakistan actions.

The statement was made by the premier during his visit to the headquaters of country’s top intelligence agency ISI, according to twitter feed of DG ISPR Major-General Asim Saleem Bajwa. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and federal ministers also accompanied him on the occasion.

During the visit, DG ISI Lt. General Rizwaz Akhter briefed the visitors about ongoing internal and external security situation while informing them about agency’s performance to avert the terrorism bids.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who extended his satisfaction over the anti-terror strategy of ISI, went on to say that terrorism and religious extremism is the biggest challenge on way to prosperous and secure Pakistan. The state organs are seriously concerned about the involvement of foreign intelligence agencies in destabilizing Pakistan, he added.

DG ISPR concluded his twitter posts saying that prime minister has reiterated to defeat all designs of enemies to make Pakistan a secure state at any cost.
