Any comment that turns out to be stupid has a liability to look stupid. Sarcasm or not.. On top of it, if its a conspiracy theory that gets proven wrong within days, the liabilities pile up... ;)

The focus of Modi's visit is also leveraging the support of the Indian-American community, which though quite small- punches well above its weight. They include influential business leaders, politicians, doctors, scientists diplomat, artists etc. Investments made by this community have soured in the past, making them cautious to invest again. That ought to be rectified.

But all this is quite beside the point. Foreign policy means little at this stage. There are important state elections at home, the result of which could affect Modi's domestic stature. The Modi government has been slow to undertake crucial economic reforms. The Finance Minister is in poor health. The Government is missing chances to reform- at this time when Modi's political capital is very high. I just hope the domestic situation doesnt sour, while Modi pursues international glory.

yeah exactly your comment really is stupid- and i can say that with no sarcasm involved--

. . .
You didn't know what sarcasm is- so since then i have lowered the standards and i am letting my inner child handle you--
and i am not so sure how can you have a cow?- Explain--
How cute...so you are a little child on the inside after all. A little child the inside who tries to beef up on the outside.

Rajdeep Sardesai slapped in NYC...

I'm removing my comments here. i don't support or endorse media person being bashed up. Freedom of media and reporting is a pillar of out democracy. However i do stand by my views that given the kind of reporting he and certain members of Indian media does can irritate and stretch the limits of patience of many.

Achcha hai. Laaton ke Bhoot....:mamba:

It's very sad state of affairs .

Rajdeep Sardesai is being slapped for what ? for criticizing Narendra modi ?

what he is supposed to do ? sing hymns for him ?

Is this kind of democracy that we wish for ?

and you are actually endorsing it ?

No sir, i don't endorse to man-handling of any kind. But you must see kind to reporting certain sections of Indian media do (Sardesai, barkha dutt et al). They may have their political loyalties, but often go too far just to forward their own agendas. At this moment Modi is enjoying almost a superstar like status and love from expatriate Indian community and these guys are obviously trying to prove their own point.
While it does look ugly for a media person to be bashed, you can't expect a crowd to show that kind of patience all the time.
