PM Modi's Address at United Nations General Assembly

. . .
Highlights of Speech

Spoke in Hindi :fans:

Important points he made
Let us fulfill promise to reform the UN security council by 2015.

Why is it that despite having a wonderful platform like UN we have had to have the various "G" platforms?

Terrorism is appearing in new forms & and no nation is free from it.

It is also up to Pakistan to create the right atmosphere and come forward for bilateral talks. I'm prepared to engage in serious bilateral dialogue with Pakistan in a peaceful atmosphere, without the shadow of terrorism.

Today the flags of 193 nations are flying here. We have achieved a lot in the last decades.

Every nation has their own philosophy. I am not talking about ideology. This philosophy guides the nation.India's is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

Prime Minister concluded his speech thanking the assembly with "Namaste".

My first reaction

He spoke like a True Statesman. I'm sure he has won a lot of friends and fans today.

What language is that?
He spoke in Hindi, last time an Indian PM did that, it was Vajpayee Sahab.

Yeah at first I couldn't understand him but after I got used to his accent I understood everything. The translator was having problems during the video too.

Another reason why i wish PMs from other countries too use their national languages. besides the issue of national pride, makes translators remain prepared.

.
He told Pakistan that raising issues in UN is inconsequential, and that he said inside the UN. He did not even touch the Kashmir Issue, which is in sync with India's official line that Kashmir is an Integral Part of India.

India has told the world that on Kashmir it is either our way or highway.

i have a very big question to ask....
history says that some indians were rulling sub-continent..... after then they were veryyyyy badly beaten by aryans , then by turks , then by mughals , then by english and then pakistan was created in 1947.... there is no existence of independence of india in history..... SO WHY DO india celeberates its independance on 15th august.....????

Umm..for the same reason that Pakistan celebrates independence day on 14th august, although there never was a Pakistan before that, even in name.

And a question, how old are you?

.
Modi Chacha focusing on development and external threats. But BJP shouldn't forget interntal issu which is more serious.

.
exactly on 13th august there was no pakistan , but on 14th august it came into existence....:-)

old enough to read the history....
