PM Modi sending Foreign Secretary Jaishankar to Pak soon since calling off talks over Kashmir : Zee

If one look the big picture, its the Chinese who have make this possible for Pakistan because since the arrival of Chinese FM, US & India started to contact Pakistan, discovery of Chiniot resources is also important as it was discovered by Chinese company and Chinese President will attend 23rd March Pakistan Day parade too.

It show that US & India have failed to isolate Pakistan and bring it on its knees in front of India, so they have decided to engage Pakistan. its funny that after long time Obama just called PM of Pakistan to discuss issues after his India visit.

Thank you China for being our time tested friend. :china::pakistan:

 you need to get your head checked.

I think this has to do with TAPI and IPI project and for the regional co operation on SAARC platform.

Obama pressure...

Yes it could be...but Obama must have promised something substantial to Modi in return, if not Modi would not have agreed for talks with Pakistan.

.
Thats what Obama had asked Modi to do - engage with Pakistan and India had been telling everyone it does not accept mediation. Fact of the matter is, it does as does everybody.

It is not mediation, neither is India going to accept any mediation from third party. India is too big and independent for arm twisting. Obama must have promised something substantial to India in return. Fact of the matter is it is unclear if this is resumption of talks - no where it is mentioned that talks have resumed or is it just a eye wash from Modi.

US welcomes move to revive Indo-Pak talks | Zee News
Last Updated: Saturday, February 14, 2015 - 07:02

Washington: The United States today welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to send Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar to Islamabad, a move seen as an effort to revive the suspended Indo-Pak talks.

"We believe that India and Pakistan stand to benefit from practical cooperation and are encouraged that they may resume dialogue aimed at reducing tensions," State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters at her daily news conference.

"The relationship between India and Pakistan is critical to advancing peace and security in south Asia, so we would certainly welcome any resumption of talks between the two countries," Psaki said.

She was responding to questions on the phone call made by Modi to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif after which New Delhi announced that Jaishankar would soon be travelling to India.

Using cricket diplomacy, Modi called Sharif and other leaders of SAARC nations participating in the ICC Cricket World Cup and conveyed best wishes for the showpiece event.

Thereafter, Modi announced that Jaishankar will undertake a "SAARC yatra" soon to strengthen relationship with them.

The "yatra" will take him to Pakistan with which India broke off foreign secretary-level talks in August last at the eleventh hour because the Pakistan High Commissioner here held consultations with Kashmiri separatists.

Psaki also expressed condolences to the victims of the attack on the Shia Mosque in Pakistan's restive northwest in which at least 20 people were killed and over 50 injured.

"We are saddened by the latest attack on a mosque and extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims. We stand in solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan in confronting this type of extremist violence," she said.

"The challenge of taking on the threat of terrorism in Pakistan is something that is a big topic of discussion in our bilateral relationship and was one when the secretary was there just a couple of weeks ago. And they have talked about wanting to do more and continuing to do more, and we are willing to and prepared to continue to be a partner in those efforts," Psaki said.

Yes - And Obama ji made Modi ji to take U-Turn on highway. That's the reality but you are free to believe anything to sooth your incredibly micro ego. :pop:
Right! We have only micro egos, whereas your egos are of galactic proportions!! :P

Modi has finally realized the ground realities .....and seems like drastic shift in indian foreign policy ...
.....
Modi has rapped you on the knuckles by cancelling the talks as you were more interested in hobnobbing with the Hurriyat extremists. Since you guys have learnt your lesson, he's now excused you! :D

India boasted it would not negotiate with Pakistan. Now Pakistan has the advantage. Modi becomes afraid. He knows India will lose a multifront war against China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Now Modi has no choice but suffer humiliation like in Chumar when Modi was humiliated after boasting about beating PLA.

BJP is forming goverment in kashmir. And PDP want talks to resumed. Obama, pakistane or anyone have nothing to do with it.
