PM likely to discuss CPEC with Khattak

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to hold meetings with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and other political leaders this week to discuss the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.


According to details, the government wants to address the reservations of the provinces regarding the CPEC project that will be discussed during the meetings.


In a separate development, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday said the map presented at the All Parties Conference was not the "official" map of CPEC.


He pointed out the "difference" after Senator Jehanzeb Jamaldini presented a map of the economic corridor project."This is not the official map of the CPEC project. I don't know what kind of map it is," he said.

China on Saturday took notice of the recent political divide among local leaders over the economic corridor project and urged the political parties to address their difference in order to create favourable conditions for the completion of CPEC.


"We are ready to work with Pakistanis, to actively promote construction of CPEC projects, and bring tangible benefits to the people of the two countries. CPEC benefits Pakistan as a whole and will bring development and benefits to the people of the country," a spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Islamabad said.


It may be mentioned here that Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have demanded of the federal government to address reservations of the provinces regarding the economic corridor project in general, and the western route in particular.

Rather than meetings this charsi khattak, they should start no confidence resolution against him. This guy is pathetic to its core. Who didn't able to complete most of the projects started by ANP, he kept priority to the dance party of dharna when was asked to go to China for agreements. He thrown all kpk education budget into stock exchange rather than on the students. The roads on swat and surrounding washed away only on first rain many people pointed low material even it was developed. Keep in mind the patch from char bagh to Bahrain is still in good condition which was built by army but this charsi khattak kept ANP integrity intact by producing same kind of pathetic construction around the province.

This guy should be kicked out of assembly and commission should be put on him why he started to bark on this project when this guys own priorities were Mujra at Islamabad parliament rather than allowing China president to allow to Pakistan.

PTI is continuing ANP legacy by stopping cpec which gonna generate jobs from hundred thousand people, will connect whole country will improve railway, will generate almost 20gw+ electricity. Will and has improve Pakistani geographical influence, will create more than 10 industrial zones across the Pakistan, allow the world to start taking Pakistan seriously
