What charity? Tax money will support this healthcare scheme. That's how it is supposed to work--taxes paid by the people put to use for welfare of people.

Tax is a charity we pay to Imran Khan, unless it's spending is not available to common man for auditing.

Not every country in the world had this system but health care is best in the world there.
Previously we had govt. hospitals and people would get free treatment without any card... what's the difference this time?

Tell me where is the sense in debating PMLN or accusing Saudis, as an argument to their own failures and corruption scandals.

When PMLN was busy building mega projects, Nazi promised the nation that he will uncover mega corruptions in all of PMLN projects.... it's natural to ask for delivery!
Instead nazi followers are attempting to steer us away from those promises, with new twists and trolls.

I'm in no position to know, but this health card system doesn't make much sense in given environment, i feel it's another one of mega bogus projects like benazir income support.

It's beggars belief to throw confidence behind a health scam after ruling governments general secretary is wanted for corruption charges.

The same government spokesman was head over heels at covid19 spread as he boasted that the country is young and old ones don't matter.

However In my common sense calculation, this project is a money making and money saving machine provided it's running.

May i tell you something what my friend told me about delays in M5 opening.... PTI demanded bribes of valued hundreds of billion rupees, from the company who built M5, in exchange for accepting it.
NHA staff had clear directions from Murad Saeed, not to sign until political leadership give nod, and eventually it happened in same way.....in process Pakistan lost millions daily but no one in Pakistan seems to care of that waste, neither NAB neither any state institution, neither any secretary of state.

One of my friend told me story of M6... but may be PTI manage to build it at lower cost and better quality than PMLN... so i will not state that story now, until M6 built but we are loosing daily in delay of that project.

I am not defending if anything has done any wrong there but you can show the math if this is that much profit generating project. 245000 is the daily passenger capacity, 40 rps one way cost. Anyone can do the rest of the maths and can find out how much profit this project would be generating.

One way fare is supposed to be around 40 PKR and govt is not going to give 5 billion rps subsidy per year because this project would be generating profit but because average fare would be costing per passenger over 200 rps per person and not majority of people can pay this much to use public transport there. Govt. has to make it affordable to the masses to generate a revenue to atleast minimize the loss. On top of that, govt. has to pay over 6 billion rps per year in interest against loan.

Difference this time is that private hospitals are also included in the "network". Its basically like NHS i.e. a collective health insurance. Please do look it up and I genuinely hope it clears up your doubts. If you are a person with sound financial means then you wouldn't understand what a poor family goes through when a family member falls sick--people resort to selling their household utensils for treatment. Naslain tabah hojati hain--all future plans for kids marriages, education, building a house go down the drain. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. With this card that family has insurance coverage and get treatment at participating hospitals without having to worry about money.

Despite your political inclination or whatever genuine concerns you have for the current state of governance, I hope you can appreciate and understand this situation. I do hope hope you read this and it changes your perspective on at least this matter. In this age of x generation warfare where negativity and propaganda is weaponized to demoralize people we need to appreciate the good things done by our Gov. I am sure Allah SWT would give us ajar for this if we can play a minor part in spreading positivity.

I have never voted in Pakistan, never in my life. In my all life i promoted boycott and as well on this very forum. So there goes my political inclination.

I asked simple question, how's your experience of using that card.

In history free medical facility was for everyone, once my grand uncle had heart operation at govt. hospital so now i was trying to figure out comparison.

Private is private and what's the qualification and conditions of participating hospitals... as you mentioned?

Present regime is full of thieves and pagans, they are the reason public of Pakistan is going poor, they are against all those projects, which help to reduce pollution and anxiety of public... such as Orange line metro, M6 motor way.

I can tell you about Toronto Transit that had been given subsidy by govt. and total revenue it generated came to 95% of it's operating cost but these are developed economies that may afford to subsidize these projects unlike Pakistan which is a developing economy having a debt equal to it's gdp.

Fact current govt has returned more to IMF then it has taken
It rolled over 4 b of PMLN money of IMF and infact has returned more then it took.
Original aim was to get 6b out return 4b to IMF
