Not just that. These odd jobs teaches them the skills they would need once they're done with schooling. A lot of the desi kids in Canada live a sheltered life, their parents don't allow them to work because it might affect their grades. But once they graduate they're usually struggle to find work as they have zero work experience and people skills along with other necessary skills you would develop from doing odd jobsBro in UK 16 year old are restricted in terms of how many hours of work they can do and they are also not allowed to work at night. Kids work in McDonald's or KFC to make a bit of pocket money not to support their 8 siblings and parents.
