This has not been confirmed by either country, so i don't know why some are making a big deal of this. Anyway, India has been crystal-clear and consistent since day 1 that no formal talks can occur unless pakistan stops supporting terrorism in india. Currently, there is no reason for Modi, the leader of a major world power, should waste his time talking to the leader of a failed terror state when he has much bigger fish to fry at sco. Especially since India has already defeated, isolated, and humiliated pakistan diplomatically and economically. In the meantine, Imran Khan is welcome to beg, which is what pakistan does best. Untill Pakistan completes the "National Action Plan," no progress will be made. But that will mean Pakistan will have done what india has been demanding all along, meaning pakistan will have effectively surrendered to india.

Imran Khan has been continuously begging Modi for peace over the past three months. Makes sense, considering India has bankrupted Pakistan and isolated it internationally.
