There is nothing wrong with it, the ancestors of local peopel of Punjab became muslims only because of these bazurgs like Baba Fareed, Pir Nosho Pak, Data Ganj Baksh, Sultan Bahu etc. Our ancestors were not made muslims by any kind of "tableeghi" jamat type molvis, that is for sure. Punjab's Islam has always been the Islam of the Pirs and Faqirs of Punjab throughout the history.

That's exactly what I was talking about, even kissing in a state of prostration signifies something that can't be ruled out just as "Kissing". I don't need to testify anything regarding what he did, because Allah knows best. If you don't have respect enough to consider that deobandi perspective is not the only legitimate perspective - then you should not be lecturing on religion. We will all be answerable to Allah, there are a thousand counter arguements I could present but neither you care you listen, nor do i truly care to educate. Like I said that video was there if you wanted to listen to something. I have no idea who Deobandi are and don't care either. You are so barking up the wrong tree here, I value Allah's word and that's enough for me, I don't indulge into sectarianism . You are free to believe whatever you like and I would expect of you to show same regard for my beliefs.

Prostrating before graves is no Deen I firmly believe in that. It's simple, you shouldn't have your ego stroked if someone believes in something you disagree with. If you are still concerned you can vouch for Imran and his wife before Allah on the day of judgement.

I too can furnish authentic references as to what is forbidden in Islam (like how symbolism is relevant, the reason we don't have human depictions in places of worship, even though we don't worship those caricatures) but, its a futile exercise and I am not the one to get roped into a religious debate with anyone on a forum.

This is going to get into a sectarian discussion but I will only say that Sufi sect has different interpretations. Which I personally consider as at-least bidah. Unfortunately, this isn't the only occurrence. He insulted Sahaba(RA) and his supporters defended him. There have been other incidents too and his supporters didn't correct him but defended him.

Defending is not the same as accepting nabuwat of another person - that is a serious offense in Islam. I would say the same about any PPP or PMLN supporter, they will never leave the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and follow Bilawal or Maryam as a Prophet (Nauzubillah).

About your complain, PMLN
supporters also show the same behavior and still donot accept that him and his family are corrupt, despite the open evidences (london flats), and despite various trials that have concluded in courts (charged guilty and sent to prison), despite the contradictory stances from day 1 (Qatari prince, saying he will die but not leave Pakistan to I will die if I donot leave Pakistan) etc.

Bidah? Worshipping graves? Kufr remains Kufr whether you indulge with man made religious semantics or not (The only true reference in any religious matter is the glorious Quran).

The reason I brought up the instance of IK's sacrilegious actions at the shrine was to set an illustration of his blind following and the extreme lengths to which it stretches in pursuit of his defence. Once you see it from this angle, it's not too hard to figure out why Orya said what he said. Orya made a gross generalisation, that's true, but he did have a point and he should have explained it more comprehensively.

FYI for the last two elections I have been voting for PTI, so kindly don't assume things about me just because I don't sound like a diehard IK apologist.

Just like every other person, IK too has flaws and he on numerous occasions has publicly admitted to his errors and offered apologies, but for the army of zealots which only exist to preserve his name, may even disagree with him on this. They be like: Shut Up IK, you did nothing wrong .
