What's new

PM Imran Khan's plane landed back to JFK Airport due to technical problem.

Not sure about your interpretation. Far safer for IK to NOT overly trust the house of Saud. Pakistan's friends have made themselves known. The interests of China and Turkey broadly align with us.

While Saudi and UAE have been good friends to pk in years gone by, we must accept that we are not reading the same script any more. Some in KSA or UAE may well prefer a Sharif or a Bhutto sitting in their pocket. IK shouldn't panic, but should keep GCC nations at an observable distance.

right now only Allah knows who was behind this episode.

indeed, Arabs have their own interest and they follow their interest desperately, UAE has already supported coup of July 15 against Erdagon.

Nation of 200 million people cannot put together a dedicated $200 million plane for their head of state? Not only this is embarrassing but also a huge security risk in terms of espionage and safety. Someone in GHQ had to have enough common sense. :patsak:

Bad excuse, someone somewhere in Pakistan security apparatus failed to do his job. Whatever is the security protocol for the head of state has to be followed. He needs to be reminded that he is occupying a Govt position and has to abide by certain rules and protocols.

Some people are jumping to conclusions here without any knowledge of what happened, wait for the investigation(s) to conclude.

PMIK was travelling in the private jet of Saudi leader Muhammad Bin Salman, and WE do not know how good it is from security standpoint. PMIK is trying to save costs of travelling with his decisions but he should know better.

PMIK should be provided a Pakistani aircraft that is tailored to his security needs. Be wise yourself.
What a pathetic attempt to divert by the habitual propagandist sell out.
Are you saying that crown prince official airplane is less secure than any commercial jetliner?

Your suggestion is valid however Gen. Zia was flying on a Pakistani owned aircraft, so as embarrassing as it is, which you rightly mentioned, things can be made to go awry regardless.

It should be a matter of national pride how our PM should travel. Unfortunately, one - as a nation we have lost our sense of pride and, two - the financial condition of the state does not warrant such an expense and the PM decides to hitch a ride on someone elses transport.
