It’s true, many of us get overly fixated on the personality of IK, that all most of us, IMHO, want is a functional non-corrupt government and hopefully good economic manager. Alas, when we look around, he seems like the only decent option, and he has raised the bar on governance, that we don’t want to go back to stagnation of the past.

I agree, that PTI badly needs to do a through review of their performance over the coming 17 months. Sad as it maybe to say, but how the opposition governs (or misgoverns) over the next 17 months may be the biggest boost to the PTI’s prospects in the 2023 elections. PTI has earned its populist credentials, but will have to formulate a better diplomatic and economic plan, despite the headwinds.

And yet we must be extremely careful of not going too far in giving total support and act like a cult. What was totally illegal--and unnecessary--must be condemned. If we had allowed this blatant power heist from Imran Khan today then we would have no right to complain about a Bilawal or a Hamza doing the same some years later. The Supreme Court had no choice but to reject the Speaker's ruling.
If Imran Khan has a solid standing--which I think he does more than other party, especially on national level--then he should mobilize his support for the next elections. As I had said before the Sunday debacle, Imran was going to win by losing. Why did he listen to some dumb a$$ advice then is a mystery.

We are blaming the CoAS and the Courts for something that did not come out in PTI/IK's favor. The judgement was by the book. People should look ahead.

So you want the CoAS to step in and then have IK tainted forever that he is Army's man?

I think some hits along the way are important. IK and PTI can't take this leadership of the country for granted. Performance DOES matter. Clearly our people are not as shaken up as many of us who have been supportive of IK/PTI otherwise the entire nation would have come out on the streets. So they need to get ready for elections now and take all the hits that come their way.

Also the same ones who are criticizing the Army would be berating it for siding with IK had the Army done it.

The SCP has passed a judgement. Now we have to live with that. You win some, you lose some. If the masses really care about the PTI then let them vote them in come what may in the next elections and that too with a massive mandate.

But just because the decision does not go our way does not mean that everyone can be cursed out. Its immature and silly to call out the military leadership and also the Supreme Court.

"speaker or DS bulldozed the constitution or not " the ruling came against it as he did and many termed the constitution as a toilet paper and many other derogatory terms on this forum , it was a open and shut case,! niaxi and his team knew and they used the time and team prior to the judgment to stir up support by whatever means

one way or another there will be Elections very soon and you will have your chance so no need to go mental
