He sounded casual, he was casual, because he is aware of the issues intimately and is able to speak about this in length without a script.

The wayhe is running govt. there is not much difference left in him and the PML-N/PPP mafia. Zardari is in power already in Sindh and Nawaz is also their thru his bureaucrat mafia around PTI team. Khwab dikhaaye hain to decisions bhi lo, civil service or police main reforms karo. Bureaucrat mafia ko control karo warna its curtains for PTI govt. in 1 year.

Investors are attracted when they the see govt is honest, open and committed to rooting out the corruption from the society and every serious investor can easily see the seriousness on his face, in his voice and body language..

Corruption is a serious problem and needs to be addressed - and i commend this government on doing what it can to root out this evil. But this is for Pakistanis only.

Investors on the other hand don't give a sh*t about corruption. Just look at India - who are at least equally as corrupt as us! IK needs to get out of his depressive mode and sell Pakistan (so to speak) - tell the potential investors about the initiatives being taken to boost GDP growth, the incentives being offered to investors, the opportunities available etc all he is doing is putting them off with all his depressive talk. He seems like a totally different person than he used to be - out of his depth, out of steam, and really exhausted.

May be it's just the pressure of the first few months of government and inexperience. I hope he performs better in the future.

Corruption is a serious problem and needs to be addressed - and i commend this government on doing what it can to root out this evil. But this is for Pakistanis only.

But being honest is always a good strategy investors will appreciate that.

Then be selectively honest - depending on the situation and location. Saying we are desperate before departing to an investment conference is just stupid! Himself bringing up the problems in Pakistan (without being asked) or continuously raising the problems in the country at an investment conference is equally stupid.

The worst thing is - IK is a smart guy. I don't know what's happened to him. He seems to be totally out of character recently.
