Exactly, the rest of the 98% don't want their primitive understanding of religion to be imposed. However, if they can take majority, they are most welcome. But the trick is when you want to take majority, you will need to take into consideration the feelings of that motorcyclist, who after 12 hrs of duty, while going home had to stand in traffic jams for 4 hrs ( true story, one of my employees faced this yesterday.

Sir @A.A. Khan , either you make it clear that you think you are right, whatever you say, think utter is right and should be implemented, no questions asked whatsoever or you accept that there is a constitution, and you will have to adopt the constitutional manner of bringing about a change whatsoever you desire.

What's wrong with these protesters is that they think they are right but deep down they know themselves that are on the wrong side, and hence are not willing to make convincing arguments rather they resort to mob violence. Indeed they have nuisance value, but so did the TTP once upon a time.
But they are more than willing to use violence to have their way with state and its subjects

Their supporters are abusing media and everybody and are even saying that it seems there are no Muslims in Pakistan as people are not coming and openly ask why don't you come? Are you not a Muslim?
Would love to see that in video form :D

The situation is getting worse now. I am sensing civil war if protests turn violent because of any action from Govt. I am astonished to see how so-called liberal members on PDF are taking this decision by Supreme court lightly.

It would have been much better if the decision was postponed for a few more years. Pakistan is already facing the worst economic crisis and now this.

ohh my darling the economy, no country in the world expect of North Korea will send his Businessmen to Pakistan! Every country is watching Pakistan, your supreme court chief justice will be flying out of Pakistan because of death threats and your PM has become the most wanted Target for 20 Million religious extremists, no Army in the world can save him, a country without law and order, which is ruled by the street mob. Goodbye Pakistan and Pakistanis, as @MastanKhan would say, it's your own Pakistani fault, live with the mess or try to correct it. But just putting with the fingers on other will only give cancer more strength.

Those who wish to correct the mess are targets and those who create it are rewarded

Yeh shekhupura Batti chowk mai saray bhaithay hain. Fun fact. The bhatti chowk is the central juncture from which you can go to Lahore straight, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sargodha.

Funnily enough the market sabzi mandi is located near their protest where you get vegetables and fruits.. Some city vendors ( the ones that get veggies from mandi and bring it into colonies) have doubled the rates saying hartaal. Awam ka yeh haal hai. Potatoes costing 20rs kilo naya is being sold for 60-70 in bihari colony, officers colony, civil quarter colony and other areas... Banda ab kiya kahai

PM forms committee to hold talks with protesters

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Thursday formed a committee to hold talks to end the ongoing protests being staged across the country following a Supreme Court verdict acquitting Asia Bibi, a Christian woman sentenced to death over blasphemy allegations, sources said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired an emergency meeting of the federal cabinet today during which he accorded approval for holding talks with the protesters.

The committee which will hold talks will comprise Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Minister of State for Interior Sheheryar Afridi, the sources added.

Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Minister Noorul Qadri and Minister for National Food Security and Research Sahibzada Mohammad Mehboob Sultan will also be a part of the committee, the sources further said.

The minister for religious affairs will meet with the protesters while the premier will overlook the dialogue process himself, they added.

Religious parties are staging protests in major cities across the country following the top court’s verdict. Roads have been blocked and educational institutes have been closed due to the protests.

On Wednesday, PM Imran backed the Supreme Court's decision in the Asia Bibi case and warned protesters against clashing with the state.

"I'm here only because a Supreme Court verdict was announced today. The way a small section reacted to it and the language that they used, I am forced to address you," PM Imran had said.

"The decision of the judges is according to the constitution and Pakistan's constitution is according to the Holy Quran and Sunnah," he had said, referring to Asia Bibi's acquittal by the apex court.

"Only enemies of the state call for execution of judges and rebellion against the army chief."

PM Imran had further appealed to the nation not to listen to such elements and warned the agitators not to clash with the state or hurt the country only for their vote bank and political gain. "If you do this, the state will fulfill its responsibility," he had said.

Do you know how democracy and protesting works?
You are free to protest but not threaten life or property of people.

PTI was protesting election rigging and never threatened people.
These Mullahs are threatening life of SC, Army Cheif and property of the people.

It's clear that you are disingenuous since you are making ridiculous comparisons.

Let us see how the present government manages the situation. That is the most important thing right now.

Cuz we have the capacity to

Bunch of mad extremists calling for death of sitting judges and coas

This extremism has been seeping through society far and wide over the past few decades and needs to be dealt with at some point. Now is as good a time as any.
