IK always used to say he was against Afghanistan wars, both in 80s and after 9.11. Now he publicly saying this in front of American establishment, think tanks and media. He clearly says, Pakistan trained fighters for Afghanistan wars which were financed and helped by CIA. But now Pakistan will not fight anyone wars. He is absolutely doing the right thing. It is time to move on, and put the blame in all places where it belongs, and not just on Pakistan's shoulders. It's time to recognise the elephant in the room, and move forward.

That very fact has been used by India and the media against Pakistan all these years, and it is time to remove that burden, so Pakistan can concentrate on the things that matter to its people.

World will acknowledge it positively in days to come. Infact they already are which is evident by a bit of normalization of US Pakistan relationship.
