IK may not be perfect, no one is but he is actually doing the right thing by not sitting down with these criminals.
And as for you giving the examples of the past, let me tell you all those sitting together by PPP and PMLN was not due to larger interest of Pakistan but as they say "you scratch my back, i"ll scratch yours" This was what was happening friendly opposition and turns to loot Pakistan.
I am for one glad my PM does not sit with these A holes. Their place is in Jail and not Parliament and certainly not anywhere when it comes to future of Pakistan.

How can one contribute if you refuse to appear before the NA, and can't seem to pass bills unless broad consensus already applies? The part in bold is completely hypothetical and doesn't apply that much to this government. Even ignoring the opposition, this government hasn't much been able to govern and make laws properly, which is their job. They've kicked a bit into gear this second last parliamentary year, but IK gets very little credit in this case. This disdain for the process is matched by what we saw in the dharna politics where he refused to take his seat in parliament. And all PTI constituencies were without representatives. Instead of stepping down and allowing by-elections, PTI members continued collecting pay checks from a parliament they were boycotting. Even if we let that pass and accept that he had concerns about election rigging, it was one thing for him as the lone PTI members of NA in mid-2000s and boycott parliament, another thing for a party to do it for so long and go as far as he went in 2014.

He talks about foreign political systems and accountability, yet in most developed countries, be it the Chancellor in Germany in front of the Bundestag, or the PM of the UK in front of Parliament, etc. Most heads of government appear in legislative chambers for scrutiny. He doesn't appear and like him, previous PMs and dictators of Pakistan etc don't ever appear either.

And on the walking out part, opposition often does this, sometimes rightfully IMO, other times unnecessarily. But PTI did the same on countless occasions in the previous parliament? So why this double standard? And how is that reason not to show up in NA, not to do proper law making, forget reaching consensus for a second.

Nobody from the PTI supporters included myself have ever said that PTI is a party of saints, actually far from it but what you people tend to forget is that their is a fine line between corruption and treachery. PMLN and PPP had long diminished this line. The other day the ex foreign office spokespersons had to say some fine things about Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. You dont sit with people like them. We have also seen the glorious days of PPP during which some of the brightest incidents in Pakistan's history took place, from Sahala check post attack to OBL raid to kerry lugger bill to memo gate scandal. You want us to sit with these guys? Thanks but no thanks.

What difference do you believe they can bring now that they were not able to when they had the power to do so? As for the passing of laws, again with these people sitting in the parliament, do you seriously believe they would let anything pass without first ensuring about their own political gains?
