ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday held telephonic conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron and King Abdullah II of Jordan to brief them on deterioration situation in occupied Kashmir, ARY News reported.

During the telephonic conversation with French President Macron, PM Imran highlighted the illegal and unilateral steps taken by the Indian government to change the special status of Occupied Kashmir and its demographic structure.

He said, “These steps are against the United Nations Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir and the International Law.”

The prime Minister highlighted the severe hardships faced by the people of the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the face of unprecedented lockdown of the entire population.

On the occasion, President Macron underlined the importance of resolving all outstanding issues through peaceful means. He appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in bringing peace in Afghanistan.

While talking to King Abdullah II of Jordan, PM Imran said that India’s illegal and repressive policies in occupied Kashmir has not only led to a grave humanitarian crisis but also endangered peace and security in the region.

He said, “Through its unilateral and fascist actions, India is attempting to change the demography of the disputed territory, which is a blatant violation of the international norms and the UN Security Council resolutions.”

The Frenchies should not be trusted they are more closer to the Indians as their naval geo political aims in the Indian Ocean allign more as for Jordan Yeah in 1970 we helped them against the PLO some defense help here and there nothing much

Its good that Pak gov is talking to everyone , but its important to keep in mind that it was France that suggested for UNSC meeting to be closed consultations behind doors instead of a formal meeting and I would trust them the least among the big economies, but nevertheless, we cant ignore them and talking to them is also important

Yes this is not about the trust as French have more stacks in India than compare to Pakistan. However, there is a set rule of diplomacy to contact everyone to share your side of story as well as making it on record by playing wisely with the information being put forward during such conversation. (Especially the one who is close to your enemy to deliver a message.) Such friends of enemy can become handy in these situations & surely will put some sense as what is coming next.

There is not wrong in expanding our diplomatic circles everywhere but the way the Pakistani media frames complex geo political and diplomatic issues is way too broad so a simple phone call to President Macron will be overated thanks to way the media Pak interpret events

As if they don't know about it. They probably know more than us.

“telephonic conversations“
This in itself speaks volume about how serious Pakistan and Imran Khan are about this entire issue. If he himself doesn’t believe this issue requires personal visits to various states to highlight it, why would other countries take him and his words at face value.

I will never let back the ones who were overjoyed at the removal of article 370, and then proceeded to write insults on our very forum. He didn't say anything wrong here, but he and about 20 others are not welcome.

For someone it may seem stupidity that why IK did call Macron even their hypocrisy in regard to UNSC meeting for Kashmir issue but the thing is; Diplomatic moves can't be undermined in short merely for the sake of disagreements due to domestic politics. To the least, Kashmir is making headline on every single day and for me, if the issue didn't resolve through dialogue and pressure by International Players; Pakistan do have solid reasons & ground work for next level of offense.

No nation does the Military Offense without proper due course of diplomacy and without making a strong case. Had it not been the case, a powerful nation like US or UK along with all the NATO might wouldn't need to create a ground for months & months for fake WMDs in Iraq or that 9/11 misdirection towards Taliban or even ISIS gaining foothold to Syria. If we pay close attention, even those moves were partial & unjustified to me; they did all the ground work and there was less to object till the afterwards findings.

So in short, a country like Pakistan does not enjoy the luxury available to those first world countries hence, we need to exhaust every possible option before Military solution hence, all the diplomatic doors be knocked, people & friends be reached, case must be made worldwide on the basis of evidences & proofs, awareness be created within & outside the country, aftermath be calculated and so be told the world about possible destruction in-case they fail to serve the right thing for Kashmir and preparedness for the own losses back at home with all the calculation as well as necessary arrangements. Emotions aside; there is lot of work to be done and Military has no issue when & what being asked by the Political Government.

Jordan mediated in past when Gen Hamid Gul was DG ISI and GC Saxena was chief of R&AW .... Jordan is country which has ears at highest level on both sides...
French = don't care, give nod to India.

Jordan = does care, our brothers, but too small to be influential.

That about sums it.

Unfortunately, we do have few of brainless with us at home that keeps undermining any possible development which can support Kashmir case just because they wanted war while themselves sitting in luxury bedrooms or residing abroad having no idea of losses without calculation or ill timing/due course of every option as such.

These diplomatic overtures are geared towards an eventual payoff.

India for decades kept shouting to the world that Pakistan is a terrorist nation.

No one bothered to listen because it was bullshit. They knew how much Pakistan itself was a target of terrorism because of our support in Afghanistan.

But after the OBL raid, they got to say I told you so, that was their eventual payoff.

We need to keep the diplomatic pressure. Modi & Co. will eventually parade its true colors in Kashmir.
Then we get to say I told you so.
Then they believe everything we've been saying about India.

That will be our eventual payoff.
