"It is a matter of great regret that for 65 years the people of Palestine are being denied their fundamental rights to live freely in their own land," she observed.
Hasina condemned atrocities and violence in Gaza and the West Bank that are causing loss of lives of Palestinian civilians and are posing renewed threat to regional peace and stability.
Bangladesh joins the international community in reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the realistaion of the inalienable rights of the Palestine people to an independent homeland and a sovereign and viable state of Palestine, the Prime Minister further said.
A comprehensive solution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions, the Arab Peace Plan and the Road Map are the best guides for achieving a two-state solution.
"We hope that all concerned parties will take a pragmatic approach for the early implementation of the Road Map for peace in the Middle East," she concluded.
