That comment really doesn't make any sense. Are you denying that Christians are being persecuted in Pakistan? What confuses me is the omission of India from this ad. I've read media reports that Christians were facing a tough time in India as well. I'm uncertain whether it is to the extent as bad as Pakistan and whether the Pakistani authorities are just too lax in taking any action against those responsible for the persecutions.
It is not yet as bad as reports that we read, especially those showing Christians victimised and falsely accused of blasphemy, but that it occurs at all is a dark sign for the future. In India, the BJP and its social front organisations are the ones responsible for these incidents; considering how many go to Christian services once or twice a year, I can't believe that there is any inherent hostility to Christians.
Ok. But nobody is placing ads condemning any persecution of Christians in India. In fact, when I went to Goa, that state reminded of a replica of the Vatican. Not that I am saying that there isn't any persecution of Christians in India. Is the persecution levels that high in Pakistan that it warrants this kind of attention?
Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, to some extent, Hyderabad, Telangana - it's difficult to imagine Christians being victimised; they're likely to give as good as they get. It's different in sensitive states like Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya and other states, and again, horribly different in the cow-belt and its vestibules. Those are the places where the treatment of minorities is brutish. That's because those are brutish states, gradually being taken over by a brutish political party.
and by the way change you flag to the country you know more about than the country you are asking questions about
You mean, if you like them so much, go to India? Now where have I heard that before? Oh yeah; the BJP. Every time someone says something that doesn't imply India is a Hindu totalitarian state, he (or she) gets told, "You don't belong here. Just go to Pakistan."
Yes and intellect seems to have also escaped you. Let me help you with some geography. Goa is a state in India where the majority population is Christian and at which the architecture comprises huge churches. Goa is not India.
Umm, not exactly, but yes, culturally and socially, it's hugely (blessedly) different. Ask
@jbgt90; he doesn't look in much, but if he does, he should read this.
