I need to see this vehicle withstanding an IED and I will believe that it can! this is a troop carrier not an MRAP! MRAP is versatile vehicle that overcome various harsh terrain. This cannot handle steep gradients.

Have a look at this to understand what I mean this is a high standard an MRAP must adhere to.

Just check this out IED hit this MRAP and the crew escaped from the hatch above it. The MRAP may not be usable but the crew compartment is intact and the crew made it out.

Here is an old photo from old album from yester yers from a testing grounds we were at back in 1991 for a Rooikat prototype with multiple 12kg russian landmines live testing. It continued to function fine with 5 wheels just front right entire wheel was taken out;

I just shake my head; these above are late 80s'/90s when noone except RSA was developing and deploying right up the front line. As I said before, give me just Buffels (late 70s) and kalahari is ours. Just ask the Srilankans' who used all the surplus buffels and are still using them.

Interesting. I hope the claims are validated but this is a very big vehicle I hope a 4x4 version is made that will be more suitable. Lets see what the future holds.

And that is why at least 300 of these should be ordered at least better than Toyota Hilux and also will encourage our private industry.
