So by that definition horse racing, swimming, athletics, cricket, hockey, football all are haram. Because anyone at any given time can place bets .......... because that horse race is e.g. the first step to it.

Lolzzz love that game but that is beyond haraam. Haraam doesn't cover it. Monopoly is a capitalist game with money that is most definitely against the tenets of Islam. It also induces crime bcz when you are not looking your family members, overcome with greed, steal your money and place a house where there are two or remove one of yours which create fitna between family and Muslims.

So monopy alone has

1. Anti Islamic economic principles of interest
2. Capitalist and western values
3. Can lead to stealing and fraud
4. Can lead to infighting between families
5. Can create fitnas between Muslims and start fitnah
6. Gives light to concepts of bribe so rishwat lenay Wala denay Wala dono ag mai hain
7. Game of chance and that is haraam
