PLA's first-rate artillery force boasts high accuracy

I hope the PLA is filled with 'experts' like you. It will make the PLA the most powerful in the world -- with no need for an air force other than to transport stuff.

If the US answer, there will be no PLA artillery left.

After 14 long years, you lot are still nowhere near winning the struggle against a few thousands of Afghan guerrillas。

Okay, then please enlighten me about what other advantages air support has over artillery support.

And oh please, don't be so sarcastic, I merely stated some pros of artillery support of which I thought were some valid points. I never said that this was conclusive, if I was indeed the know-it-all you claim me to be, I wouldn't have put that last line there in the first place. So again, if you have something to add, do be so kind to share your insight with your fellow PDF members? ;)

He is a Vietnamese troll pretending to be an American.

How about attacking from different directions, for starter ? You do know that artillery lines are fairly fixed, no ?

Meeeeh, if he indeed has some further info to point out in regards to my previous post, I am all ears to his insight. I will judge for myself if he's trolling or not.

After all, sharing is caring, right? @gambit ;)

I was thinking the same first too, but then I considered, with the coming of guided munitions, you get more room for alterations while the projectile is still in midflight, right. Although not to the same extent of an aircraft, of course.

Artillery is terrain limited, in both maneuvering and targeting. Close air support (CAS) do not suffer those limitations.

CAS, as long as friend or foe are identifiable and distinguishable, can be more precise than artillery, which are always beyond line-of-sight (LOS).

CAS can move with the front line and in many situations, can create openings or anticipate where the front line will be. Artillery cannot and if artillery must move, all cannons usually do not move in concert.

Artillery are more vulnerable to counterbattery response than CAS aircrafts are from ground fire.

No one, not even your PLA, is more adept at using artillery than US and no one, including your PLA, is more skilled at using the combination of artillery and CAS than US.

So if anyone is a troll, go look at your fellow Chinese, perhaps even yourself since not one of you have ever served in the military but are making pronouncements that are grossly wrong.

That guy is full of himself. Thanks to cyber-space, one can claim to be anybody one dreams to be. Does not impress me much, though.
And you guys are not ?

The bottom line have always been the same: You Chinese just simply do not like to be challenged, even when you guys are wrong.

Nope.

US don't like to be challenged. China is doing exactly that and its infuriating the Americans and its worshippers like yourself.

I've said this before in a previous post.

There is not a country on this planet that can stop the rise of China.
Learn to live with it.

Good points, good points! Thanks for the input!

This is somewhat of an oxymoron/contradiction. We shouldn't discuss military affairs because we don't have military experience? Then for that same reason, should you not be making bold pronouncements about the PLA as well, which might be just as wrong?
