Satish most of what you gonna say about delay like sanctions,tug-of war between drdo and forces etc etc.but then my point stays which i said before instead of going to fancy projects start something which you are confident of delivering on time inspite of all hiccups.Thats like work with in limit to deliver on time instead of aiming on to moon.Take example of ISRO .Why it is resounding success among any of the govt. PSUs ....reason being it went stepwise.it didnt target the moon at once but then it achieved it coz of its timely success.

we r paying and we'll decided if it's late or delayed...
u may take a look at ur Economy and just SHUT UP

Alright fancy projects are started to get spin offs while the development process goes on. We needed to establish a lot of things before the LCA programme actually took off. And ISRO did not end up re-inventing the wheel like the DRDO does. And ISRO is still struggling with its launch vehicles. The major problem faced is the IAF wanted a Mirage 2000 in a Gnat sized aircraft....it was day dreaming those days, but now the ADA and HAL have made it possible.

Coming to your major argument, the Tejas program has been shifted totally to the HAL and the ADA is no longer involved with the Tejas programme. The ADA right now is jobless and no one here wants to make people to sit idle and waste the tax-payers money...would you? That is why the MCA design programme has gone to ADA so that they have a job in hand to do and justify the salaries that they get paid.

ADA is a different entity and HAL is a totally different entity...so an arguement like this leads us to nowhere....AMCA design evaluation has started at the correct time.

All these projects were success in their respective stages..some complete some progressing successfully.
what is important is that all these were our first attempts and a stepping stone for future development and pak still don't have anything to match those except in missiles..That too is going to vanish with our k series.

LCA was suppose to be IAFs mainstay fighter and if it fails to become one or inducted in nos like migs 21s then its a failure. Secondly if people are free that doesnt mean that govt again start fancy project like AMCA and again end up on the lines of LCA.Did ADA/HAL made IAF as partner in AMCA ...did services solved out program management related issues with hal/ada. if not then AMCA will again be another white elephant which iaf will be forced to induct later on just to show it as success.When india is participating with russia on 5th gen aircraft then why india need another 5th gen project.If guys at ada are free then fire them.no work no pay.

The LCA is never intended to be the mainstay fighter...it was supposed to be the "cannon Fodder". Then the IAF decided to join in after the program got underway. This made them realize that the aircraft qualitative requirements were not enough for the current scenario. They also wanted LCA to perform A2G role directly leading to the change of the AFSQR. So the design changes were added on later to the LCA thus making the aircraft heavier because of strengthening of the airframe and increase in wing surface area.

AMCA is actually pushed by the IAF for a lot of reasons. And seeing the navy being atleast 70% self reliant made the air force realize the potential in DRDO and related defence labs. It also helps in a lot more ways. It mainly helps us realize newer technologies and push innovation in India making it a major player in aerospace. You might never know what will happen in the future scenario...PAK-FA might even end up in the hands of China who is our potential rival and AMCA might be our trump card.

but according to me every nation has national security or strategic intrust as first priority. You can't expect a country to solve all poverty and economic issue and only then spend on defence.

They already had f-22 from 1990s and now they cant afford it so they stopped making it.And making a weapon is not like it should take endless time. what will happen if u've to fight tomorrow where is your promised super duper LCA.Pakistan worked with in its limit to get a flyin plane in hands with which it can fight.India still waiting endlessly for its super duper plane.

Not all Migs, but the aging 21s and 27s. And these are the platforms that made up the numbers, and not the premium strike planes. Something on the lines of JF 17 for PAF.

On your second ques, no again... These are not duplicate but subsequent projects. Remember that India is joining PAK FA mid way. The experience from that will dove tail into the AMCA project.

Oh please, spare me the 'glory' that your Pakistan achieved (I know the real you wink wink).

Tejas is going fine for now and it will see service as thought out by MOD. By its standards the finished product would be equivalent to any other 4.5th generation fighter that entire world is using or planning to use in vast majority since 5G fighters are expensive.

FYI we made Dhruv gunship in record 3 years after spending 12 years on Dhruv multirole helicopter. You can use this for taking any future guesses
