No one is asking for Americans to accept an Indian OS. Our own market is big enough to make it Microsoft competitor. Moreover government policies can be notified for Indian PC dealers to only sell laptops with Indian OS. There is something called preferential market access. India recently applied in manufacturing it can be applied in Software as well. Just like China where Google and Youtube is not allowed India could ban Microsoft and force Indians to use Indian OS.

You can not force people to use indian OS. Not many Indians use indian version of goggle and facebook.

Further proof of incompetence. When you look over the span of 3 decades, you can see the Indian ogvt has been led by idiots who don;t have alcue what they are doing. There is no cohesive, comprehensive planning involved anywhere.....from bulding cities, defence, space, whatever. WAKE UP IDIOTS

Lets not make it Linux based. Can India come up with an operating system purely of its own. I doubt so..

Creating a OS should not be complicated. All you have know is ASM and C. However to create a modern OS it may take tons of lines of code
