pla is nowhere near the US Army, lets just get that straight, pla is a fake copycat of the US Army from the looks of it (uniform and combat gear), but it doesn't even come close to the US Army which has 8800 abrams tanks, which is 2x more then the pla, 1000s of artillery pieces, hundreds of helicopters of all types,etc... all backed by the worlds LARGEST and MOST ADVANCED defense industry which is probably ahead of the entire world by a good 20-30 years.

to sum everything up:

pla army has more manpower
US Army has 4x more equipment and 10x more experience and they've fought in guerrilla environments which are far tougher then environments where they would fight a country in.

also during the iraq war, the Marines took out the entire iraqi army in a matter of weeks(thats about 300,000 men).

also during a real war, pla wont bring its entire force into battle, it still needs a few 100,000 on the southern border, another 100,000 on the northern border, and some more on other borders where it has enemies. plaaf will be worse off with their limited resources.

as it stands today(and most likely in the future as well)

We will have 5x the number of high tech equipment in all categories (air, land, sea).

let me tell you, its not that easy, first you have to do r&d, which requires some good talent, then u have to find a supplier for each individual part(in china's case they are sanctioned and that will be hard, thus they will have to produce everything at home, or buy from Russia), then u have to train sub assemblers, then you have to train assemblers, and you have to buy a LOT of manufacturing equipment(which could be a problem due to sanctions), so if it cant be bought it must be made with that same r&d process which also takes time. my point is, that aerospace engineering takes a LONG time.

all of this takes time, and it will be a LOT more than 10 years to be on the level that the US was at even in 2000 before the WOT. the US Aerospace industry produces 100s of planes EVERY MONTH, that's about as much as china produces in a year.
