Was the ejection seat faulty or did the chute not deploy??
Pilots usually gets away with minor injuries unless the aforementioned happens.

行员跳伞逃生获救，但到20日下午仍没有找到飞机残骸。此消息被严密封锁，中共官方媒体尚未有相关报导。

据多家港媒报导，有网民在互联网发出消息和图片显示，有一架军机坠毁在安吉县鄣吴镇附近的山区，机师成功跳伞。事后当地多个村的村民及军方人员进入山区救援。他们在山上搜寻了一夜，但没有搜获。

有网友发出图片，显示搜救人员找到了飞行员的弹射座椅。由座椅显示的型号“HTY-5”可以推断，坠毁的是一架歼十战机。

The type of the plane has not been confirmed .The pilot is ok at least
