@Soryu @NiceGuy @Viet @AViet where are all Vietnamese member when you need one?? Let's see what they have to say
Some Chinese member alway like that in here, their thought is so "amazing" ... :laughcry:
What make you think I am a Viet?

He want you are a Viet ... :lol:

This is not about sub versus surface ships. No one is disputing that subs are surface ships' greatest enemy. But this is about your absurd declaration that the aircraft carrier is obsolete and that somehow littoral subs like the Chinese ones can challenge a US aircraft carrier in open ocean. You really think you brought on anything new?

Compare to US, the PLA was equipped with knives and chopsticks. Guess that is why after the spectacular embarrassment of Desert Storm for the PLA generals' prediction, the PLA had to reform to look like US. :lol:

PLA prediction of American defeat was 100% accurate. Because of that defeat you had to come back in 2003 :lol:

war on words only.

china has DF-21, one DF-21 or it's variant can sink one carrier, us has 11 carriers, 11 DF-21 got them all. chinese navy lost nothing.

the question is not how many DF-21 you have got ... the real question is how are you going to use it .. clearly you can't swim to the Carrier and throw it ..

I believe the DF-21 is a land launched missile................the missile has the range to make the US think twice if it ever thought of causing trouble in the China seas. Its not a weapon to use in the mid-pacific, coz the Chinese dont want that

It'll likely be vehicle launched. Ships can have a hard time detecting mobile land targets.

We an can launch them off rubber bands.

Damn, that'd require a huge rubber band!

Ships always have difficulties with anything over the horizon.

Assuming the DF-21D is deployed, in a hypothetical conflict that will involve a US carrier fleet, China will be under constant satellite watch long before that, and pay no mind to the usual anti-satellite weapon hype by the Chinese here, one test does not make a weapon, anyway, once a DF-21D is launched from anywhere inside mainland China, its flight will be calculated before it even reach mid-point and an SM-3 will have a solution for mid-phase interception. The fleet will be alerted and maneuvers planned to create as large a search area as possible for the warhead, assuming it survive the SM-3. At 30+ knts speed, in 15 min there will be at least a thousand square km to search.

But back to reality...The DF-21D have yet to have an open water test in clear weather. China have been under constant satellite surveillance since the Cold War. No ballistic missile launch can escape US. China cannot test the DF-21D over the east -- Japan and South Korea. Cannot test in the south because of Taiwan and the high traffic area of the South China Sea. That leave the little bit more open East China Sea and the test launch would be broadcast for Japan to know. The DF-21D have yet to test against the weather. And finally against man-made countermeasures.

All of these are unknown. The PLA can declare the weapon to be 'deployed' but it would be meaningless. Such a statement cannot guarantee successes or even a pK of 50%. In order to increase range, the DF-21D launches should be as near the coast as possible, but that would leave them vulnerable to preemptive attacks from US B-1s and B-2s. Moving them further back in land reduces their estimated threat range into the sea.

Quite a contradiction when China has its own carrier right? Why have it in the first place? Don't China just need to make submarines only and be done with it?

Not a contradiction at all if your cheerleading compatriots have the brains to advise you why

If we have aircraft carriers, we have a lot more strategic options if needed in future military operations

.
China's ships would sink so fast they would defy physics. A lot of the speculation on this thread assumes the U.S. just sits there and doesn't fire back.:omghaha:

. .
Before China entered war, North Korea was under American control.
After the war, North Korea was liberated and American soldiers ran back to South Korea licking their wounds :lol:
Result: Chinese victory :china:

Chinese soldiers were doing most of the fighting in Vietnam war. It was our fighting and our experience from Korean War that helped us win the Vietnam war.

China = 2.
America = zero. Nada. Zilch.

Right...Vietnamese members here will contradict that claim. Anyways the existence of South Korea after North Korea attempted to invade and China intervening when North Korea was losing badly and still could not conquer South Korea speaks for itself.

So its still U.S. 1 and China 0.

Good to know someone has a sense that carriers are not obsolete.

Forget the PLA, even the US military has said it's deployed. The DF-21D has been tested and 100% proven. The US is far too scared to admit the test because of total embarrassment as they have absolutely nothing to counter it. That's assuming the US can even track the missile which is debatable.

And yes, our ASAT weapons can take down US satellites in low, medium and high earth orbit. We also have the ability to blind US satellites which makes the theory that the US can use its sats in a war against China even more laughable. SM-3 missiles have not even been proven against advanced Chinese missiles and certainly not in a worse case scenario where dozens of missiles are fired. They certainly don't have the ability to intercept the DF-21D. Never have and never will. That's why the US is petrified about the DF-21D missile. They are full panic mode running around like headless chicken. You don't get scared about a weapon that's not deployed and have the ability to counter. The US reaction alone is a give away to know the DF-21D has been tested and deployed and the US has nothing to counter it. That's why the Pentagon spokesman refused to discuss anything related to the DF-21D. The US is utterly helpless.

So our ASAT weapons (KKV and lasers) and our DF-21D is enough to make the American Navy experience defeat at the hands of China which means it will be the 3rd military defeat at the hands of the PLA.

Spend soooooo much and boast soooo much and still can't achieve strategic victory against us. Must sting the ego huh? :lol:

We kicked the US military out of North Korea. We were armed with sticks and stones and we still were able to kick US forces out of North Korea. All that military spending and advanced weapons mounted to nothing. At the start of China's entry to the war, North Korea was under American control and by the end of the war, North Korea was out of American control.

Strategic victory for mighty China :china:

The only thing a conscript reject like you know about the DF-21D is how to array the English alphabets to mention it in writing. Other than that, I bet you can barely tell the difference between a hammer and a screwdriver.
