We have many Vietnamese impostors who lurk in the Chinese forums and often pose themselves as Cantonese or sometimes even as Shanghainese.

They have always been tried hard to create a rift between the North Chinese and the South Chinese.

For example, the Vietnam forum in Baidu, anyone who disagrees the coupling/marriage between Vietnamese and Chinese will receive a permanent ban, and the Mod there is in fact a Vietnamese who lives in China.

China has plenty of opportunities, and the living standard is also very inexpensive compared to Taiwan's.

Taiwan's GDP per capita is only higher on the paper, but in the reality they are living under the extremely high pressure, and they don't seem to enjoy their live as much as the Mainland Chinese.

that phenomen is not unique for taiwan, can be seen everywhere in the world. rising income pushes prices higher of everything. also, shanghai is very expensive city for low income folks.
