They handled because at that time PPP had good commitments with farmers and Pakistan exported wheat and sugar at time that is why prices were not rocketing like this now.

However, when Shaukat Tarin left PPP in 2009 due that he purposely botched IMF program and PPP required 1 month to find a suitable candidate and that was Hafez Sheik. IMF were asking there 7.8 billion liabilities due to program was ending prematurely and hafez came safe IMF program. However, this no one wil save l PTI from Shaukat Tarin mark my words and poor people will have to pay the price Imran Khan donkey selections.

Same Situation happened to Sri lanka in 2019 and prematurely left IMF program in Nov 2019 and look where are they now, which people are giving example.

Reserve does not matter import cover number matters. Pakistan had 3.4 month of import cover in 2018 and now we have only 3.2 of import cover as Pakistan average of import is 6.3 billion dollar per month.


Even if we 10000 billion dollars and we have import cover of 3 months we are in worse situation than 2018 as i tried to understand some kids PTI biggest and Pakistan history of biggest blunder was to pause IMF program in June 2021.
