Pir of Manki Sharif joins PTI
Listen
NOWSHERA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Ulema Mashaikh Wing President and former advisor to chief minister Pirzada Syedul Ameen on Monday announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) along with his followers, supporters and family members.
He made the announcement at a press conference in the presence of former chief minister Pervez Khattak. District Nazim Liaquat Khattak, PTI provincial Information Secretary and candidate for National Assembly constituency NA-26 Dr Imran Khattak and others were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Pirzada Syedul Ameen (Pir of Manki Sharif) predicted that the PTI would the form government at the Centre and in the province after winning the next general election. “The PTI-led provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa served Islam and Pakistan in the true sense and spent all the resources on the well-being of the poor,” he added. Welcoming the new entrants to the party, PTI central leader and former chief minister Pervez Khattak said the PTI’s win in the 2018 general election would prove a milestone in the development of the country.
“Our manifesto envisages giving maximum facilities to the poor,” he maintained, adding that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was striving to put Pakistan on the path to progress in the true sense and make the motherland a developed country.
“This country needs honest leadership which is available to us in the shape of Imran Khan,” he believed. Pervez Khattak went on to add that the future belonged to the PTI and it would create 10 million jobs for the unemployed youth.
However, he admitted that joblessness was a daunting challenge facing the country. He said this issue couldn’t be solved by individuals promising to provide employment to the youth in a bid to hoodwink them.
The former chief minister said that the PTI would leave no stone unturned to uphold the rule of law and provide justice to the oppressed. Coming down hard on his political rivals, he said that the Awami National Party, Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal had disappointed the public during their rule in the past.
“The people are fed up with them,” he remarked, hoping the PTI would achieve a ‘landslide victory’ in the next polls on the basis of its people-friendly policies and reforms agenda. “Imran Khan will be the next prime minister and the PTI will form the government, after scoring election victory in the four provinces,” he hoped.
“The people are now mature. They want practical work, not empty rhetoric,” he pointed out. He claimed that important and honest leaders from PPP, ANP and other political parties would join the PTI in the near future, making the Imran Khan-led party stronger and a formidable political entity.
Pervez Khattak said that progress and prosperity couldn’t be brought unless the obsolete system of governance was revamped.
