Pindad eyes Bangladesh, Philippines for tank export

What are you on about... if you’ve been to Indonesia, you would know how much worse it is...
Anyways if such were the case then Bangladesh wouldn’t have airports to land jumbo sized airplanes or tanks that it already has... it would be like Russia or ukraine with mostly unprepared airfield because of it would just erode away due to heavy rain...
Which would you choose between vt5 and this?

I was talking about the terrain where the 60t tank operated. It should have performed in the paddy fields, swamps or loose sands, instead, to make people understand its true movability. I think BA should bring in a prototype KAPLAN and test it in our swampland although it weighs 32 ton.

Personally the VT5... I fear increased risk of transmission/ engine failure from frontal penetration

Yes, you seem to be very right. Tanks are not for use in the paddy fields/swamp lands, undulated terrains, deserts and small hills in a warlike situation and are for use only on the surface of solid concrete and asphalt roads. The airport runways are also very suitable for tank movements, no doubt. Very good. I hope, all the armies of the world learn about this newly invented important use. My God!! I thought this is a Defence Forum!!

Obviously nothing can move in the paddy field.. not even as light as 3 wheeler auto.
If a 36 ton tank can move then a 60 ton tank can too with appropriate power.
A tank operator is more worried about getting blown than getting stuck in the mud. ;)

There is already a video of Leopard 2RI navigating paddy field, however I can no longer manage to find it. In case you are wondering why there isn't any video or test of Medium tank navigating paddy field is because doing so is not only pointless it's also grossly expensive (paddy field always belong to someone / private entity who need to be compensate for financial lose)

If there is a need to operate within swampland, than an amphibious AFV (such as BMP-3F) is more appropriate than any tank. Or a tank boat such as this :

Concrete would just crack with track running over them... this is why tanks without rubber padded tracks aren’t run on roads...
for where the tanks are needed... like in the north western- eastern... western part of the country... it’s suitable

Everywhere in Bangladesh, the terrain is sodden, even in the areas you mentioned including the areas in the enemy territories. BA tanks must be able to move in this sodden land. A ground pressure at the soil/track contact area should be below 0.9kg/cm2 for a battle tank to move in the sodden/wet or desert/ sandy land. A 0.9 kg/cm2 means 9 t/m2.
