Junaab:

How about the first photograph: what happend to Fazal who is marked as "RIP"?

In the above, while I realize that Afzal is a common name, is he same who commanded the squadron in 1971?

One more request: in some posting elsewhere, you suggested that one kill that a pilot had during 1971 (I think you suggested it was Dohtani's) was credited to his squadron commander by changing his camera film. Do I recall your posting correctly? If so, what squadron did Dohtani fly with during this episode?

Sajad Haider's book is a remarkable read. I have just reached the point where th 1971 war starts and where he states categorically that the PAF performed BETTER in 1971 then it did in 1965, something he states even PC Lal the IAF chief stated.

Very interesting.

Thank you.

Their is no Dhotanis in PAF but there is a Dotani his friends call him BROTHER DOT.
Friend it was IAF pilot SV Bhutani who was shot in Dekha by a AAG. Same SV Bhutani who won the TOP GUN trophy. Funny thing is he was the leading fighter pilot in his course to get the highest Air to Ground score and got shot by an AAG ( Now that's bad luck )

shr_bwp this is for everyone who read the PAF Books
Problem with me is that I am allergic to bullshit specially when it gets written down. To set the record right it was
Air Marshal (R) Sharbat Changazi than Wing Commander Changazi who changed the gun camera footage of Dotani's kill and got the credit. Dotani could have protested but he didn't say anything not a word of protest.
we had more who flew only for their country and didn't give a dame about medals for example MM Alam, Rafique, Amaullah, Salim Baig, Ijaz, Masroor, FS Hussani, Hakim Ullah, Jamal Hussain, Jamal Khan, Imtaiz Bhatti, Salimuddin, Azim Daudpota, Nur khan, KMK, Naiz nabbi, Maroof Mir, Khattak, Atta, Sarfarz, Shamsulhaq, Shamas, Mikki Abbas, Farooq Omer, Butch, PQ, Manssor, Zaka, Zahid Anees, Nazar H, Fareed, shabir Hussian, these are just a few names I remember. If you really want to know about 14 SQD than buy this book if guys and get hold of it. This book gives you in detail everything including RT Chat between pilots during dog fights, pilots during exercises, pilots during peace time and pilots who did nothing:lol:. I will scan the cover for you.

Lets not crowd this thread with questions we all can use the
PAF Q & A thread, lets concentrate on putting as many photos we can. I want this thread to be the envy of every other forum out their buy putting top notch photos of PAF, You all are doing a fantastic job

A) Point about posting photos taken although it is natural that some will lead to questions. I am not sure why Bhutani's name is coming up here..........

B) I obviously misspelled Dotani's name.

C)The book you mentioned is not publicly available since it is a PAF 'private' publication. Only members of the PAF Book Club can get it if at all, since it is limited publication book.

D)I still would like to know what happened to Fazal (RIP- in Sajad Haider's book). Corrected on Feb 19: Sajad Haider's book describes how Fazal departed for friendlier skies: hit by anti aircraft, with two 1000 lb bombs attached to his F-86. RIP, Shaheed.
E) Sorry to read about what Changezi did.

:pakistan:
