What's new

Pictures from recent trials of Naval LCA NP1 at SBTF

It's a separate runway to the runway at INS Hansa bro. This SBTF was built by the IN specifically for training their naval aviators for carrier ops and for testing and developing the N-LCA.

Do all nations who operates Carrier have this kind of test facility or only manufacturers of this kind of plane?

Although it looks nice to us but wait and see. As I think more MiG-29Ks might come..... Also can you tell us about Rafael as the deal is not looking to be concluded soon. It seems that 150 FAF M2K might be in IAF inventory.........

Opps ... Left gear is up way before jump.
Seems like sky jump is uneven or bumpy.

Those who have STOBAR carriers:

China
Russia
India

All 3 have shore base STOBAR training facilities.

I think I have seen similar tests with an F15 too, not sure anymore, but the Brits will have similar test ramps for the F35B soon too. There are also pics of Rafale taking off from a carrier, via catapult launch, but with an additional mini ramp.
