Dear Members,

Now that at last winter has arrived (every year the dateline gets delayed), it is PICNIC time. I hope every one must have gone one or two days on a Picnic with friends or family members. Usually for a Picnic a far away and not so far away spot is needed. Below are the criteria for a successful picnic according to me.

1. A bunch of trees, some hill side with shed.
2. Place where clear water is available. A clear stream will do or take plenty of water with you.
3. Real feeling of picnic comes with arranging fuel from the spot itself(obliviously wood). Now a days its ruined by taking Gas cylinders and cook with the party.
4. With friends(male only) : Some Rice, some dal and Lots of meat and lots of "Ram Babu"!!:D
5. With family : Music (which I do not like), paneer pakoda, gobi pakoda, fish fry, mutton/chicken curry, paneer or gobi curry for vegiterians, rice and dal.
6. With friends family's : Above all and plus Housie game, (No Ram Babu)

Please describe your Picnic that you had this year or planning to have and the place.

Why do want to play housie on picnic:o:
I would prefer to picnic with my friends along with camping for a night.(beer and chips along side camp fire)
Secondly when married a picnic with family along side family friends (same age group couples) would always be nice.
But not in winter. don't want to be sick:sick: Autumn or timing around September-october is the best. :enjoy:

.
In my hospital the picnic they do is some feast in a bungalow 2 kilometres away from hospital so that doctors can attend cases if the need arises.:hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:
Last time I had a proper picnic was in 2013 near a beach. That time I ate some 1 kilo prawns. :smitten::smitten:

Most our picnics are now BBQ parties, and my last so called picnic was at a mountainous place called Jebal al Jais, we had gone there a few weeks back.
The place was decided by one of my younger cousin brothers who goes there for camping.
The place is around 350-400kms away from where we stay so we had no clue of the place that we were being taken to.
It's only when we reached there did we(me and my other cousins) realise that the place was atrociously cold, add to it that it was windy that evening- our teeth were chattering with cold.
We set up the BBQ thingy and finished up our picnic in under 2 hours. Since it's never too cold in UAE, none of us were really prepared for what awaited us on the hill top.
We didnot spare our younger cousin brother when we got back home. :dirol:

I remember a picnic recently, invited two Hindu friends and three normal people. Deliberately took only beef dishes and they were forced to eat nothing. Laughed at their face and then left them to come back on their own, they didn't even have any money, had to walk till someone gave them a lift. Was fun

i can only think of a bonfire and maybe some hot choclate and marshmallows in such a setting.
Last new years eve we had a similar experience and on a day when we all can reflect back on passing of one more year, it was a great evening.
