PIA without any airconditioning

. .
How come he has to do everything what is our puppet I mean PM for?

I think it meant before take off!
I dont know exactly from where the flight originated but it is assumed it was from Lahore and there PIA has been low on ground equipment.

There are conditioning vans that are attached with the aircraft so that it can remain cool but if the temperature is above 43 deg Centigrade then these can not keep it completely chilled. Normal procedure is that 2 Air conditioning Vans would be attached but due to shortage it some times become difficult to even have one.

It is also seen that it took more time to depart the aircraft and it was delayed hence the passengers were sitting in the aircraft. Once it would have taken off and reached some where about 25000 ft.+ then only the temperature would be cool enough otherwise it would be really hot for the passengers. Normally the temperature ranges between 40 to 47 deg C. at Lahore in May-July.

My parents recently flew in PIA - flight was on time and lot of room and food was good infact it

Rangers has set up heat relief camps in Karachi. This is our democracy. They can do nothing for people except loot them or spill their blood. Once booted out, which they richly deserve, they will say 'humey tau kaam he karney nahee diya gaya'.

On my flight to Islamabad from Karachi, I experienced the same thing. It was hot inside Jumbo like hell. PIA is short of everything. Not just ground equipment. The biggest problem is shortness of will and too much dishonest intention.

Ownership and accountability is missing in PIA...

An airline works on the principle of checks and procedures... If they do not possess the above mentioned ingredients then nothing can be accomplished.

Nothing to do with shortness of will and dishonesty... this can also be over powered by strict rules.

ON GROUND
This is how Aircraft Air-conditioning works on the ground
View attachment 231336

An Aircraft does not have any airconditioner.

IN THE AIR
These components provide conditioned air via the following step by step process:

  • First, outside air enters the airplane engine.
  • Next, compressors within the engine compress this low-density air.
  • Hot compressed air from the compressor (bleed air) is then transported via ducts to the A/C packs.
  • Prior to entering the air conditioner units, the bleed air passes through the pack flow control valve, which regulates the flow of air entering the conditioning packs.
  • Within the A/C unit, two air-to-air heat exchangers are installed that supply outside air via a pack inlet scoop and the air exits through an outlet duct.
  • As the cold air exits from the conditioning pack, it is mixed with warm air.
  • The desired air temperature is achieved by regulating the amount of hot air mixed with the cold conditioned air exiting from the packs through a by-pass valve.
  • The regulated air is then fed to a mixing unit which transports the air further on into the cabin and the cockpit.
  • The by-pass valve, pack flow control valve, inlet scoop and outlet duct are all operated by, and connected to, a pack controller.
Calling your BS. Engines are on on the ground and AC works fine during taxi, holding etc. No external AC buses attached to "modern" aircrafts (you can't because its on runway). Have waited for hours on taxiway in LAX and never had any issue..
